Coaching Staff?

Does anyone know the status of the coaches from last year?  Are they cleaning house? Keeping Some?  I haven't heard anything

Now that the WS is over I expect we'll start hearing. It's a courtesy to those being let go to give them as much time as possible early in the off-season to find a new landing spot.

I expect the coaching staff has already been told.  It will be announced today or tommorrow.  At least for those being let go.  Expect a busy transaction day.

It's very possible. OTOH my understanding of management techniques is that there is more downside than upside to telling anybody anything until the moment the die becomes cast, no matter how well-meaning. But coaches aren't typical employees so I don't know.

Wouldn't the new manager want a little time to speak with the coaches before he makes his decision? I'd assume it would be his decision.

I thought i red somewhere that Gene Glynn and Eddie were already let go to find other opportunities.

 

The Twins have to make another move to clear a 40-man spot for people coming off the 60-day disabled list. Of course, free agents will announce their intentions now.

 

 

Listening to the brief interview with new manager Rocco, I get the impression that he hit it off with the new dynamic duo in the front office and that he will be given some major say in who he wants to work with on the field. But will be interesting to see if, at least, Shelton, Pickler, Rowson and Alston return. But never know.

Feels like they're hoping to keep on Rowson and Alston.

Writing might be on the wall for Guardado and Glynn.

Pickler might move into a front-office role.

Legitimately have no idea on Smith and Hernandez.
