TheLeviathan Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 My wife and I were having this discussion today in light of how much we both loved "This is America"..... Who are the most amazing multi-dimensional talents in our world today? Our top 3 (actually 4, we had a tie) were as follows: 1. Donald Glover - Perhaps the most breath-taking artist alive and so talented in music, comedy, acting, and all the artistic elements he blends in. 2. The Rock - He might have even more range as a performer than Glover, but not the same musical chops 3A. Jennifer Lopez - Not my cup of tea, but you have to tip your cap 3B. Kris Kristofferson - The accolades during this man's career are hard to fathom Did we forget anyone?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 13, 2018 Posted May 13, 2018 Viggo Mortensen. Actor, producer, writer, poet, musician, painter, and speaks 7 languages. The quintessential Renaissance man.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Ben Stein. Deep intellectual. Consummate actor. OK, well, 0 out of 2 isn't bad. More seriously, I always kind of liked Cher, as a successful pop singer who became a pretty respected actress too. (And semi-seriously, I kind of wonder if Lady Gaga could surprise us by taking some kind of similar route later on.) Multi-dimensional, gotta mention Shohei Ohtani.
Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Ed O'Neill (married with children, modern family) is a 10th degree black belt in Brazilian Jujitsu. Nick Offerman (parks and rec) is a master woodworker, and an accomplished dancer. Tony Danza was a gold gloves boxer.

Lady Gaga already won a Golden Globe for actress in a mini-series in 2016 for American Horror Story. She’s always said that acting was her first love.

biggentleben Verified Member Posted May 24, 2018 Posted May 24, 2018 How has no one mentioned Eddie Murphy?! Actually, even though the music career was rough, he's not a bad candidate. He was one of the first guys to have a huge standup career, be very good in sketch/improv, and have chops as a film actor. Also...Prince. Even just in music, Prince...and David Bowie before him.
