They would know him from his days in Cleveland. I would guess that Washington signed him for a reason when he was a free agent last winter.

I wanted him last off season; he was always a lefty killer.

 

I kind of feel his time has passed now though.

At this point we're looking at keeping Granite and I'd rather have him at AAA.

 

Raburn was released, so we could go get him.  He has some positional flexibility too.  I'm not in love with him, but he seems like a better fit for this roster than Granite.

They do need to find a Ryan Raburn type. I don’t think the original at age 37 is a better fit than Grossman.
