Twins injuries in spring training

I'm doing some research myself on this topic for a possible story, but thought I'd reach out to people whose memory or research skills are better than mine. I'm trying to find Twins players who we were sure would be on the Opening Day roster, but ended up hurt in spring training. I'd like to go back at least the last five years. Here's what I have so far.

2018 - Ervin Santana

2017 - Trevor May, JT Chargois, maybe Kennys Vargas

2016 - ???

2015 - Ervin Santana suspension,

2014 - ???

2013 - Scott Diamond? Anthony Swarzak

Thanks,

John

Joe Nathan in 2010 had many unfortunate consequences.

Was it 2012 when Gardy called out Scott Baker for not being tough only for Baker to end up needing TJ surgery?

Injured during spring training?  Trevor May...yes.  Ervin Santana...no.  Shouldn't the theme of the story be "injured during previous season, but did nothing the entire off-season and underwent surgery once Spring Training began"?

That would be a longer list...or at least have more top-end players/prospects on it.

Gardy did call him out, but from the way he says it, Baker told him he was fine. I just recall it being a big deal around Twins nation.

"Our starting pitcher put us in a hole today. He got his work in, yes, but we chased the ball all over the field and spent eight hours [out there] in the first three innings.

"That ain't good enough. He's got to pick up the pace and get going. He says his arm's fine and everything's good, then let's go. Get on the ball, throw the ball ... that's all I want to see from here on out.

"Everybody gets put to sleep and then we play a [poor] ballgame. Anything else?"

That's not calling him out for not being tough enough.

Let's see:

2018: Brian Dozier, Miguel Sano, Trevor May, Michael Pineda, Fernando Romero
2017: Glen Perkins

Beyond that memory fades

Perhaps not, or perhaps the context has shifted or there's a different quote I can't find, but that was the narrative around here. Gardy or Ryan were getting taken to task for being callous and it was the height of the hysteria regarding the training staff.

There was lots of hysteria and false narratives.

Look at blogs.twincities.com/Twins/tag/scott-baker/ from April 6, 2012.
