edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Span not available to pinch run tonight. My god just DL him.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Well, for the six of us that prefer to watch two bad baseball teams play a meaningless game rather than two bad football teams playing an absolutely meaningless game, I have a couple predictions. Carson will get a hit and Florimon won't. Florimon makes a key error and the Twins bow 5-3.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Let's get Blackburn predictions in: I think 6.2 IP 5 ER I think both Carson and Floriman reach with a hit.  Morneau gets a 2-run dinger. Twins win 6-5.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Blackburn with the expected first inning gopher ball. Not that easy to do against Seattle.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Span not available to pinch run tonight. My god just DL him.Man, do I ever agree with that.
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Span not available to pinch run tonight. My god just DL him.Man, do I ever agree with that. On the game thread when Span took his tumble, I posted the real-time thought that we all probably were contemplating- "10 days with Delmon day-to-day, and then a "setback", followed by Parmelee getting the call-up".
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Pitch up and in to Mauer...weak flare to left. Pitch up and in to Jason...drilled to right. Sigh...
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Pitch up and in to Mauer...weak flare to left. Pitch up and in to Jason...drilled to right. Sigh... I think we've both commented how Mauer just won't pull the ball, not can't, just won't. Ok, it's very rare.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 When did Blackburn start throwing 87-88? Just keep running him put there...gotta get your money's worth.
edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 When did Blackburn start throwing 87-88? Just keep running him put there...gotta get your money's worth. It doesn't sink if you throw 90+
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Haven't we been told by experts that throwing a sinker above 91 MPH just won't sink?

edavis0308 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Man how predictable was Blackburn getting lit up by Seattle. It's like a trap game in football. (two home runs let up to seattle in two innings classifies as lit up)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Could it happen? Back 2 Back Perfectos?
GCTF Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Mariners on their way to back to back perfrect games.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Could it happen? Back 2 Back Perfectos? Did someone mention perfect game? Does the jinx rule apply if opposing team fans bring up the fact there's a perfect game in progress?. I don't know perfect game protocol. Is there a minimum number of times saying "perfect game" for the perfect game jinx to affect the PERFECT GAME? I would hate to jinx a perfect game. Perfect games are so rare, and there has never been back to back perfect games.
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I know it's a Friday, but where are you Glunn, it's a west coast game man?

Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Do opposing teams play their LFer shallower for Ben Revere, or Joe Mauer? Discuss.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Nick Blackburn...the cure for Safeco Field's park factor.
greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Anyone catch Gardy's pregame show??? Said he didnt know Revere was hurt untill he got to the ballpark today?? If there any communication in this organization or what. I didnt see the game Wed but my buddy texted me & said Revere twisted his ankle pretty bad.
greengoblinrulz Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Ullger doin what he did best as 3rd base coach....hold a runner @ 3rd who was off with the pitch, & throw was way off line with a punch/judy hitting Carroll up next.Man he's a great coach wherever you put him.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Good for Mr. Carson. Congratulations on your first Twins hit!
Ultima Ratio Verified Member Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 Do opposing teams play their LFer shallower for Ben Revere, or Joe Mauer? Discuss. Revere yes, Mauer no. Mauer still has that sold warning track power to LF, regularly.

Between Thome and him I don't know who wins a 50 meter dash. Really.
