Just to be clear, I took October 2013 as if he's pitching in the playoffs -- optimism.

Realism here. I think Blackburn starts until the rosters are expanded. I'd love to see both Hendriks and Vasquez start games with Blackburn mothballed--he really can't do anything about this year anyway. The other deletion? Possibly Diamond, but Duensing or De Vries also could be options. I realize adding Vasquez would impact on the 40-man, but as long as Nishioka is on that roster, there's room for one to be added.

Hopefully it was clear that I meant he would finish next season as a member of our rotation, but I wasn't clear, sort of similar to how I had your TD name wrong for a awhile and I screwed the pooch on both of those issues. If Blackburn is a member of our rotation next year, I fear that everyone's optimism will be met with great disappointment. I hope I never have to hear the words "Nick Blackburn" after this season. He was given a more than reasonable opportunity (understatement).
