drjim Provisional Member Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 This snuck by me, but a pretty good list. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/2017-minnesota-twins-midseason-top-10-prospects/ Hard to argue with any of it, but I do think Thorpe jumps in here by season's end (probably Granite graduating), and I still have Javier ending up at #3.
bluechipper Provisional Member Posted July 21, 2017 Posted July 21, 2017 Jermaine Palacios should probably be on top 10 lists by season's end too, and I agree with you that Thorpe could be up there, probably ahead of Jorge.

nytwinsfan Provisional Member Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Yes, much agreed, except I'd take Jorge out and put Enlow in. Don't get Enlow not being in any of these lists. He was a top 30 draft prospect for goodness sake. Really really don't get that.
gman Verified Member Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 It is interesting that BA has three shortstops in the top 10 and a 4th, Palacios, and possibly a 5th in Marte that could be getting close to the top 10 next year.

I wonder if some of his polish wore off since he "slid" into the third round. Not that that would justify holding him in lower esteem—he's the same pitcher whether he was taken in the third round or the first.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted July 23, 2017 Posted July 23, 2017 Be interesting to see how Barnes and Enlow do in the system and how fast they can move up. I would say all the Top 10 will be in Twins uniform sooner rather than never. We will be able to trade Rosario at some point. Be interesting to see who can replace Mauer at 1B.
