Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 That's the second time my source has put two catchers in the lineup. Strange.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 That's the second time my source has put two catchers in the lineup. Strange. Perhaps you should just stop blindly copying and pasting **** left and right then?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Probably not a great matchup to get Plouffe going. I hope to see Florimon soon. Here is my particular hobby horse--I hate seeing so many Puntos, Casillas, Carrolls, etc. that have absolutely no power. Florimon is a fairly big guy and can reach the fences. He misses the ball far too often to be a good hitter, but if he makes contact the OFs will have to play him honest.

snepp Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Now all Mastroiani needs to do is play 2nd base and he'll have his position in the lineup locked down for years.
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 Now all Mastroiani needs to do is play 2nd base and he'll have his position in the lineup locked down for years. Does anybody have the link to that fake book by Gardenhire? I need a laugh and couldn't find it when I looked for it a month or two ago.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Though it ended in a K, that was a nice at bat by Revere.

I think I know what you're talking about but I can't find it either. Isn't that where the whole play 2nd, bat 2nd thing came from? It was one of the chapters.
mikeee Provisional Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 No runs yet, but scherzer is up to 49 pitches after 2 innings.Maybe he will burn out quickly.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 How does Scherzer fan so many and have such middling stats otherwise?
Fatt Crapps Provisional Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 While looking for the "Play Second Bat Second" link, I stumbled across this gem. http://www.thatstwinsbaseball.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/sloweythestarter.png
stringer bell Verified Member Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I think Mr. De Vries' hold on a starting spot is getting pretty tenuous. Since there are not a lot of great options, he may hang on for another start, but I don't think he has enough stuff to stay in any major league rotation, not even the Twins.
