If the AA manager is intentionally giving Gordon days off vs LHP I consider that a developmental failure. He isn't going to get better vs LHP if he doesn't face them.

Well.....

Vs. RHP:

282 PA - .333/.394/.522 .915 OPS

Vs. LHP:

69 PA - .190/.304/.241 .545 OPS

And this appears to be a trend...

2016 vs. RHP:

365 PA - .315/.356/.431 .788 OPS

2016 vs. LHP:

129 PA - .220/.276/.254 .530 OPS

But 69 PA vs LHP seems about right for half a minor league season. Indeed, Edgar Corcino has 70 at bats vs LHP. He's a switch hitter with better numbers vs LHP. So, Gordon isn't really sitting vs LHP. The hope is that he eventually gets better.

I'd take back Neshek for a low level prospect.

Would not like to see Nick Gordon flipped for a reliever. Have we learned nothing here?

I cannot imagine you'd have to. There is such intrigue in the low-level guys in the Twins org throughout the game that I would imagine they could intrigue someone.

Blankenhorn, Diaz and Placios and possibly Rortvedt. Any other player in Cedar Rapids or Fort Meyers should be trade bait. Relievers should be able to be had for any two off those rosters.   A midlevel starter gets trickier. Friday will go a long ways in determining the necessity to add one.  If Jorge can hold a team to three runs or less he is probably as good as what you can add cheaply.

On the selling end, Santana provides the stability  for the staff.  It is hard to sell that unless the price is right. Like when Oakland sold Gonzales, if the return is that good the team would be foolish not to trade. The expendable starters would have to have a GM who loves them.   Don't hold your breath.  To get of a return for the other position players not named Sano, Kepler or Buxton, a team would have to think that is the player who will solidify their playoff chances. Even if they Twins are out of it by the end of the month, I really don't seem them selling with a significant return.  There is always a possibility of a Mejia for Nunez trade result. Hust like there is a Meyer for Busenitz and Santiago.
