Cory Engelhardt Verified Member Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 From what I understand, the pre-show begins at 6pm Central, with the draft starting with the Twins pick shortly after 7pm. The first round and supplemental 1st round will be shown on mlb network (twins have pick 1 and 35) and then the 2nd round and everything after will flip to just mlb.com (twins have the first pick in the 2nd round, pick 37.) My question; are you planning on watching the draft? If so, where are you planning to watch it? At home? At the Twins game? Out at one of your local establishments? If you are planning on going to a local establishment to watch the draft (which I am thinking sounds like a good idea personally) where are you planning to watch it? Just curious for thoughts here on Twins Daily for local places that may be a good viewing spot for the draft specifically. Not that I don't want to also follow the Twins game that evening (I do) but for the Twins picks I would love to find a place that would have the sound on for their portions of the draft.

I watch the MLB.com live stream on my laptop.

nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 We've typically had draft day tracker threads, one for each day. The Twins play Seattle at home so I'm guessing there will be the game thread and the draft thread going with people getting all sorts of confused. Speaking as someone who has an office day job, following the draft on my work computer and chiming in on day 2 and 3 has always been entertaining. We cut our satellite package and no longer have the MLB network at home, I'm hoping I can still find the proceedings somewhere to stream day 1, I'm not sure if I'll need to be a subscriber to the network to watch.

I remember watching day 2 and 3 at work last year but I couldn't remember if I had to enter a DirectTV username and password to confirm my subscription to the MLB Network.

Listening to days 2 and 3 is one of my favourite things as an avid draft follower.
biggentleben Verified Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 MLB Network on Playstation Vue is a wonderful thing. I can watch on whatever device I have with me. Leading a live thread next Monday on Call To The Pen where I'll be putting up the instant summary on each pick.
gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2017 Posted June 7, 2017 I'll watch the draft on Monday night in my basement while my wife wonders again why she married me and then I'll stream it live on mlb.com during the next two days. And I'll be posting all over the place and insulting Dave, because that's what I do.
