I don't agree that the rotation is trending up. Berrios and Santana are clearly not pitching as well in their most recent 3-4 starts as they did in the ones before that. After posting 6 consecutive quality starts, Hector Santiago has zero since. Mejia has been improved, so that's one. I guess technically Gibson is too, but it's merely a lesser degree of terrible. He has yet to complete 6 innings in a game. IMO, that's trending down.

Overall though I'd say the grades are spot on.

I'm not sure I qualify a Santiago start as 'pray for rain' just yet. He's only had two starts where he gave up more than 3 ER and one was on short rest against the Astros. Granted he seems consistantly 2-3 outs away from a quality start but at least the Twins are usually in the game when he pitches.

Having Berrios is better than not. That's why I think they're trending up.

Fair point. I still am not certain what he's going to be medium-term, but he's been OK.

Iirc they had him pitching exclusively out of the stretch in his last start? So maybe they've seen something there...

Self fulfilling prophecy? :)

Two starts ago, I believe. One good, one bad?
