I would highly debate the majority of fans being drunken idiots. Unfortunate that's your perception of a team's supporters, it's an unfair stereotype.

 

How does stating that the only way a fan is involved with the on field performance is through running onto the field stating that the majority of all fans are drunken idiots? Methinks you read into that something that wasn't there.

I try hard not to say "we" at all. I'm not part of the team. sometimes I slip up.

 

The fact that people think they are part of the team? That does lead to some tribalism, and we've seen people do stuff like destroy century old trees on opponent's campuses. The whole idolization of sports and players is a huge issue for schools and priorities, but I'm trying to avoid "politics" on this thread.....
