Both Skaggs and Shoemaker are under team control until 2021. Shoemaker is a back end type but Skaggs always had more potential (#12 prospect overall and making the majors at 20 years old) and will only be 25 next year. Skaggs isn't enough, obviously, and I'm not sure what else the Angels could produce but a deal with Skaggs as a secondary piece could be something.

mazeville Verified Member Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 Not entirely sure I get this rumor. Don't the Angels need pitching themselves?
