Have a roku?

do you watch any of the channels other than HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube? If so, why?

I tried one of the meditation channels, not so good.

When I remember, I sometimes watch Austin City Limits on PBS.

Vudu, because I got movies put on there for free to start with, so I used it to store my digital movies.

Obviously, MLB.tv. Smithsonian has some solid stuff. There are a ton of channels we've downloaded and have watched a time or two.

If you're looking for other free channels on Roku, we have Crackle and TubiTV along with the other paid channels you've mentioned in the OP. Haven't explored much of TubiTV yet, but it was advertised as free TV shows and movies....

**I swear I'm not a Playstation Vue sales person**

Playstation Vue is the first "cable package" I've purchased in 5 years, and I love it so far. Similar to Netflix, it's a monthly subscription service that you can cancel at any time. Different cable packages available starting at $35 a month. Unlimited DVR service and works on all streaming devices except Apple TV. Though on Roku it's the worst interface of all the platforms they're on.

SlingTV is pretty much the same thing, also available on Roku.

I pay for sling. Between the two packages, pretty much everything you need. Unfortunately, we all have a limited data package by our isp don't we. I got a notification last month that we exceeded it. Needless to say, i want happy about it.

So, I've been traveling a lot for work recently.  I have a Roku-Stick that I bring along with me.  Just found out recently that FS-GO is now an app on Roku.  Ahhhh jackpot.  So awesome.  Absolute game changer considering all Twins and Wild games are now on FS-GO.

Where do you live and what's your data limit? Comcast just implemented a 1TB limit for me and I pretty routinely go over that threshold.

I get two free months of overage but will probably end up moving to CenturyLink's gigabit service, which has no limit.

I live in nw Iowa. We have Comcast and apparently only get 350 gb of data. I called and complained that it is so small, and wasn't transparent at the beginning of our pan. I didn't have to pay overage fees, but still think it's lame.

You might want to check back with them. I believe Comcast is in the process of changing all caps to 1TB. That will probably serve your needs, though it's pretty iffy for mine.

Didn't know there was such a thing as a data cap on internet usage at home... You learn something new every day on this site!

Yeah, it's a new measure used by ISPs under the rationale of "fairness".

Because if you only use 5GB of data a month, they obviously charge you less. Everybody knows that.
