Doing your own bacon is ridiculously easy and so much better than store bought. Buy a skinned pork belly from Costco. I place the belly in a plastic rubbermaid container - because its easier/cleaner than a freezer bag. I use a generic meat tenderizer/cure and make a light film on each side of the belly. Pepper the hell out of it. 1 can of Dr. Pepper or Coke. Put in the refrigerator for 3 days. Flip. Let sit for 3 more days. Wash before smoking - must do this!!! Smoke. You'll never buy bacon again.

I've done really well this year. I have a okay grasp on the market, but in the end, I'm really just guessing like most. Disney is my favorite stock I own. It's expensive, but I think its the most sure thing. The parks, the future streaming platform, and the enormous movies this year that are coming out. I made an enormous mistake with Chewy. I had never participated in trying to get in on an IPO or purchasing shortly after the stock hits the secondary market. Their IPO price I believe was 23. I set an alert to buy as soon as it hit 23.01 so I could purchase ASAP. It opened at $36.60ish. I bought the same amount of shares I was planning on purchasing at 23, at 36. But to add to that, my X amount of shares got purchased in 3 different transactions. One at 36, one at 38, and the largest at 39.80. This was great for a couple minutes, but I've been sweating bullets for about 5 days now. Today it rallied big time. I think its a great long play - the growth is outstanding, but also, they're also losing ridiculous amounts of money. Maybe the extra cash on hand will help with margins somehow??? I should have bought more SONO when I did too.

I've been basically been putting 5% of my net income into UNH stock since 2011. Then my retirement accounts are solely invested into PRHSX. The long way of saying yes. Very good.

I'm late to the party, but I'm jumping in on Disney tomorrow morning prior to Wednesday's earnings report. 2019 is going to be all Disney. Their movie lineup might have 4, 1 billion dollar makers. With that said, I really like Sonos products. I think their Ikea collaboration is going to be a big hit for the company. I'm going to make a smaller trade on them too. Outside of a quick hit with Nintendo a couple years ago, my portfolio is invested in biotech/pharma - UNH being my strongest holding. I'm going to try to diversify a bit here now.

Saw Three Billboards this weekend. Personally, my favorite movie since Hell Or High Water. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any resolution with Tyrion Lannister though.

I think they're smarter than the program they run. But yeah, I listen for sex, fat, and fart jokes. I get why people would despise it. It's still better than listening to a middle aged white multi millionaire without a high school education talk about how bad he has it and how wrong you about everything in life any day of the week.

Again, I'm with you. I like Charch too. I haven't played a video game in probably 5 years, but still like listening to the fodder. He may be too big of a dork to have a daily bit though. Beyond The Pond is my favorite show locally. PA is definitely obnoxious. I'm guessing some people find it enduring. Its just not in my wheelhouse I guess.

I think you're probably in the extreme minority in thinking that. Extreme minority. Even with the likes of Gleeman and the Geek on the airwaves, KFAN has been on an incredible ratings run, and I think Bump is the most reputable in the mix. Russo is something else. I think his life is hockey and being around the game. Lavelle is a Chicago guy. Might not look at covering the Twins as anything more than a job, a job that he is by all means very good at. And Mike B. is a must follow on Twitter. He's very good too. Twin Cities dwellers are pretty spoiled as far as local media goes. You travel around the country and most places are just f'n garbage.

Very random, but, just read a spot in the Dave trolling rumors thread.... Said something along the lines of 1988 Dodgers called they want their team back.... My brain read,"Brock is gay." Huge leap there, but wasn't there a Brock_Is_Gay user that received the first BYTO ban? Or Brock has AIDS.... Then came back with several different classsic aliases. Haha.

What Marijuana stocks did/do you have Dave? I've gotten burnt on the ones I purchased. Low dollar amount, high reward type stuff, but still, burnt. Couple hundred here and they're worth pennies now.
