Let me get this straight: 

 

If the Twins keep on losing and get the #1 pick, you're happy with Molitor again

This is hog wash. Complete and utter. The product on the field is bad, but in no way have the Braves ever made a personnel move based on pursuing the #1 pick. They called up their top prospect and traded away a useless vet (one of the worst players in all of baseball by WAR up to that point) to make room for him. A team truly tanking would have held down the top guy for service time BS and let the vet crap the season away. They're actively sending down arms that struggle, not running them out just to take losses. I know that you want to make a point here, but make it accurately, please.

Let's tone down the bickering.  As well, I think it's a bit unfair to assume that either ATL or MIN is intentionally tanking...

This really depends on who the Braves might be targeting.  If they have one guy in mind and are afraid the Twins might take him with the first pick, then yes.  If they've got a few guys on their list and don't have a definite preference, maybe not.  Of course, the draft is a long way away, and everything could change, so it's probably best to secure the first pick anyway, if that's all you care about.

 

And, who says the Twins aren't tanking?  Albers, Dean, Schafer, etc.

At this stage of the game, there really isn't anyone to target so to speak for the 2017 draft. The top 10 lists will change way too much between now and then. 

 

I'm just hoping for a generational type talent at the top if we get 1 overall...  Another Harper or Strassburg at that point would be nice.

The Twins are not going to "tank" even if management wants to do so.  These guys have their careers to worry about.  They're not going to hit .100 here on out just so the Twins can get a high draft pick.

 

Heck, if management asked them to "tank" that would probably inspire the team to do the exact opposite.  Such a thing would be insulting to a player.  The request would go public and it would be a black eye for the team.  

 

This isn't like the Twins are in the middle of the pack and a couple more wins means picking 18th instead of 12th.  The Twins will get the first pick or the second pick, and in that range there isn't much of a difference.
