Tonight's game features a matchup between 25 year old LHP Matt Boyd and 25 year old RHP Tyler Duffey. Here are lineups:

I like that the Twins are taking a long look at Polanco at SS, even when Eduardo Escobar is playing. I think he can be acceptable there, although his whiff at that sharp grounder last night was a little discouraging to that thought.

I don't totally disagree on Polanco, and regardless of the lack of MiLB innings there, it's worth the look during this lost season. That said, I don't see him as the answer, nor am I sure what it is. Vielma is the only prospect I have heard whose glove is deemed exceptional, and that is just hearsay. All I know is I see some of the young elite SS around MLB, and wonder why we can't have shiny things!

Yeah why do all of the Twins top prospects come up with holes? Polanco can hit, but doesn't have a position, Sano can't field, Buxton apparently can't hit, and Berrios can't throw strikes all of a sudden. Kepler is the only one who looks like a complete player right now. 

 

All a part of the process I guess.

He has a "bruised thumb". I'm sure it has nothing to do with sparing him the embarrassment of carrying his current delivery on to the field against a bunch of power hitting right handed hitters.

Well, to be fair, I don't know for sure, I just don't like Molitir so I present my opinions as fact.

The lineup order looks a little crazy to me.  I don't like Plouffe in the 4 hole either...Oh well.  Too bad Vargas isn't around.  I would like to see him at 1st base versus Plouffe.

I don't mean to pile on but why Dozier in the #1 hole?  He has 29 homers!!  Move him back and put some more speed up top...Amazing.  Molly knows more than I do though...I'm just a small business owner trying to get by.

I would either do one of two things, post incessantly to distract from my overwhelming anxiety at watching the game, or, become paralyzed by said anxiety and become completely incoherent on a keyboard.
