Dunno when the rain will be over, but for those watching FSN, that dude on Swing Clinic has the best job in the world.  Golf with knockout babes every week.  I don't even know if that guy knows what he's talking about or if he's even talking.  I just know he's got a great job even if he doesn't make a dime.

Hello, everyone! I see the game is still in a rain delay. If they've waited this long, they might as well finish the game. Enjoy, you diehards, it is bedtime.

This one ought to finish up late enough so that the next thing to come on will be an ad for a juicer that can reduce papaya to subatomic particles.

Hi Glunn, how you doing? It's only 10 pm where I am. Went for a huge walk, etc. and ... well, I'm back and there's a baseball game on.

I am also on West coast, so I still have some energy. Are you in CA?

And now the stadium lights have throttled back to 50%. And the rain continues. That's it for me.

I admire the KC fans who are still at the game. If I were the owner I would be handing out swag to them on the theory that they are the most loyal of all fans.

Bisbee, Arizona. For some odd reason we're in the same time zone though. Raining here too, lightly.

You are within 100 miles of Chief, who probably went to bed about 3 hours ago.

Didn't there used to be a curfew?

I went to MLB rules and once again came away confused.

"A game shall become a suspended game that must be completed at a future date if the game is terminated for any of the following reasons: (1) A curfew imposed by law; (2) A time limit permissible under league rules." Etc.

So ... are there local laws?

2 just makes no sense at all.

Does the prostitute from L.A. Confidential still live there?

I found this:

Once upon a time, the American League had a 1 a.m. curfew, after which a new inning could not be started unless the visiting team was making its last visit of the season to the city, which is why most of the longest delays occurred in the NL.

That rule fell by the wayside sometime in the 2000s.

Never saw the movie. Had the look up the reference. No, I don't think we need anymore dress shops.

Kim Basinger?

Yup, Kim B./Lynn Bracken/Veronica Lake, all the same person. "The girls in Bisbee could use a little glamour".

Best Picture nominee in '97, Kim won Best Supporting. Spacey was excellent as well. Russel Crowe and Guy Pearce were just young pups then and it made both their careers. It's on my desert island list, just in case I get one that has a blu ray player. Holy crap, was that really almost 20 years ago already?

You're not late, you're just reeeeally early for the second game of the double header later today. I'm the one who's late, because i threatened to bail an hour ago when half the stadium lights were turned off by the timer. But now that the dog is panting and freaked out by thunder I might have to stick around a bit.

It sounded like Son of Sal asked for a new catcher's mask from the dugout because his smelled bad. Maybe I need to go to bed after all.

His got damaged by a foul tip.

Well, I guess having your mask damaged by a foul tip is better than having your tip damaged by a foul mask.

Mauer's defense has steadily improved, but even when he makes great plays like that layout scoop, he still doesn't look like other above-average first basemen. He looks like a well-preserved 50 year old playing in a Legends game.

I think that you may be being too tough on him. It's been a long night.
