With an offensive WAR of 21.7, that's one heck of a drag his defense at first base causes. Good hitter back in the day, wrong league.

He's 36 and has made more money than he knows what to do with. I respect Howard after reading his quotes about the situation. He's not delusional about where he is in his career, or holding a grudge for being benched like we've seen from several Twins players. I suspect he's either going to retire or sign a minor league contract next year.

Maybe the White Sox, they of the 6-17 record in the last 4 weeks or so, can trade for Howard so they can keep contending :-)

I don't understand the hate on Howard?
