Definitely a struggle for me to stay positive.  Probably the first year for me not seeing them live in 20 years.

I live in Wisc. and since they only played two games in Milwaukee this year, and I don't think I want invest the time and money to road trip it to Minn., it's looking likely MLBTV is going to be my only viewing option for this year.

They are young in a lot of spots, but they just are not fun to watch for me.  I get bored pretty easily with this team and often find myself finding something more productive to do other than spending 3 hrs watching a game.

It's hard to admit for me, but I am finding that a quick glance to the scoreboard online is enough to satisfy my Twins fix for the day.

As a hardened Twins fan, I am not opposed to watching losing baseball, I've done it many many times over in my lifetime, but it's wearing thin with me for some reason lately.

Oh well, hopefully the winning will return and all things will be good again.

This is the first time that I have written anything for a blog, forum or really anything beyond the papers I wrote for grad school/college, so please bear with me as I figure this out.

Let me start off by saying that I am from Minneapolis but do not live there currently. I have been living for the past few years in Kentucky and now South Dakota. During the times that I have missed home it has always been comforting to turn on the TV or in my Kentucky days, MLB.tv, and watch a Twins game. I am a frequent visitor of TD so I know I am not the first person to notice that the season so far has been, less than positive.

Inconsistent hitting and poor plate appearances was the first task that we had to endure but then the plate appearance seemed to get a little better as early-April transitioned to mid-April. Now as we transition from late-April to early-May we encounter poor pitching and poor team management. Simply put, the notaligia that I received from watching my "home" team has since gone away and left me a feeling of despair toward the organization.

I suppose the question that I pose to those reading, posting, commenting on TD is how do you continue to stay positive about a season that is pretty clearly not going to end how we want it to? What can you look to that fills you with pride in the organization? Is that even possible or is it better to accept it and move on?

First Off... Welcome to TD!!!

How do I stay positive... Pretty easy actually. I've been obsessed with baseball since the mid 70's and I've learned to manage failure. Learning to manage failure is a skill that all of us should have developed by now.

Baseball is a game of failure... Even Rod Carew failed more times then he succeeded at the plate. The best teams in baseball still lose at least 60 games a year. The difference between a good year and a bad year is about 16 games out of 162.

I have failed at times in my life and I still like me so I guess I'll never fully understand the turn them off crowd but to each their own.

The Twins are a part of my family. I've said my vows... in sickness and in health.

I'll be watching again tonight.

Twins fans are pretty well used to losing. It is what it is, a game, a business, something fans are nonetheless passionate about.

The losing doesn't bother me. The one thing I don't like is the complete lack of accountability, and the acceptance of incompetence. Those aren't OK when I go to work, nor I think for most people, and so I'm not thrilled that the team I root for is run that way.

Watching a team "rebuild" is one thing. Watching their clueless, hopeless management flail around in perpetuity is another. It's not an entertaining spectacle.

I have been a Twins fan the first game they had here. I love baseball, but I have found it hard to get excited about the way this team has played this year.

I was soooo excited about the prospects that have come up, but their play has barely excited me. And all the (what I feel) not playing smart or enthusiasm has been lacking.

I have found my self not paying attention to the Twins.
