I promise to drink a beer for every strikeout. If he's pitching well, I won't care by the fifth inning.

If you were doing that for Diamond it might take you 5 starts just to get a buzz.

Today's starters are polar opposites.

Of course Sanchez hasn't exactly been Mr. Strikeout either this year, to top off his all-around suckitude.

You're going to watch 10 walk per game Jonathan Sanchez throw a 1-walk gem.

:P

Two walks already but still looking like a gem in work.

Listening on the radio. What happened on that shallow sac fly?

I had stepped away and didn't see the play. Came back and the inning was over.

The Twins don't seem to be capitalizing on some terrible Royals pitching. 8 men left on base.

If I squint real hard and maybe drink two more beers, this would look a lot like a 2002 Twins game.

How many beers so far my friend?

Good thing you aren't having one for every Diamond K. You'd be mighty thirsty by now.

Diamond is not getting any strikeouts but he is being very efficient -- 53 pitches through 5 innings and only 2 hits.

That RBI infield single by Dozier was the goofiest thing ever.

I am watching this on gamecast -- please provide details.

With runners on 1st and end, Dozier hit a ball that landed about 10ft from home plate wide of the 1st base line by at least 6 feet. The ball had so much spin on it that it sliced back fair about halfway up the base path. Dozier recognized it was going to be fair and beat out the throw. There was no one guarding home, so the runner on 2nd just ran all the way home.

So it landed foul then went fair due to the spin? I don't remember ever seeing that. Thanks for sharing.

Plouffe hits another one out.

I wish that he would hit one out against a righty in a pressure situation instead of against a lefty when we have a big lead.

Why bring in Perkins when the Twins have a big lead? They might need Perkins if the nightcap is close.
