Not that anyone needs to be told so, but tonight's game is no reason for anyone to think the sky is falling. Buchholz was awesome tonight. Pelfrey was very good, but lost out to the dominant effort - it was a pitchers game and the Saux ended up on top.

It was 50 degrees to start this game, the pretty much equals not much offense. What the hell, 50 degrees to start a game on June 2 - that's ridiculous. Hell, if you told me they were playing in Reykjavík, Iceland, I would tell you that is false, because it is probably a little warmer there right now (not really, but it actually could be).

Tomorrow's a big day. The Twins have a good dice roll going on right now and losing two games in one day is a good way to slow that roll. I hope the boyz take both games of the Doubleheader and continue Boston's struggles, but it is very important to take one of them... very important.

They know that and I expect them to be ready to destroy, and I believe they will.

It was a wasted effort looking that one up. :)

Mike Pelfrey: Staff...Ace?

It may have been a loss, but Pelfrey certainly did his job. Along with the guys behind him.

I wonder how Buckholtz feels about giving up two runs in two contests against the Twins and only getting 1 win?

It's a pretty small nit to pick, but it was fairly obvious that Pelfrey had lost it in the 7th. He left a meatball up 0-2 on the double and then multiple on the next hitter who walked. Realistically, I know almost no manager takes him out there, but knowing you're not scoring anytime soon, you almost had to. He's still Mike Pelfrey, not Max Scherzer.
