lightfoot789 Verified Member Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 What will be the trickle down scenerio after Spring Training within the following outfields in A+ & AA & AAA? There are so many veteran minor league outfielders in the upper levels (Ramirez; Ortiz; Rodriguez; Krisnicka; Thomas; Robinson; Hicks; Etc.. Who will be the 4 Outfielders for each level at the start of their respective seasons?

Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 My Guess (L to R starters) with 4th and 5th and utility not mentioned Rochester: Ortiz/Rosario/RamirezChattanooga (yes it is hard to write) : Harrison/Buxton/Walker (Kepler/DJ Hicks/Harrison rotating between 1B or LF-Harrison & Kepler only- and DH)Fort Myers: Williams/Kunzler/Swim
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Wilken Ramirez released (if he's still with organization) Ramirez was re-signed as a MiLB FA. He is not going anywhere

Reynaldo Rodriguez was an organizational all star last year and he just resigned I believe. - Are you discounting him Seth?
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Or just forgetting about him.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Seth is spot on after adding Rodriguez in as a 4th/1B/Dh at Rochester.
Rosterman Verified Member Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 You can add a fifth outfielder (the minor league vet) to be DH. No one, really, at Rochester.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 LOL, Seths' love affair with New Britain has no end!Pardon me boy, is that the New Britain Choo-Choo?
nater79a Verified Member Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 I think Rosario starts at AAA with the logjam at Chattanooga. Rochester: Farris CF; Rosario LF; Robinson RF; Rodriquez/Ortiz 4th OF;Chattanooga: Buxton CF; Harrison LF; Kepler RF; Kvasnicka 4th OFMiracle: Kanzler CF: JD Williams LF; AB Walker RFKernels: English CF; Murphy LF, Larson RF, Swim 4th OF/C
lightfoot789 Verified Member Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Vargas hit better in AA than he did in High A. I'm curious to see who else can mirror that success (Kepler? Walker? Harrison? etc.?). I'd like to see if Chad Allen is the answer? From an outfielder point of view, we need these 3 to take that next step. With Vargas like improvement from each, who would have the most upside after a AA breakout season?
