gunnarthor Old-Timey Member Posted December 23, 2014 Author Posted December 23, 2014 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Bourjos is younger, much, much cheaper, probably better defensively, and a much betterfit. I mean, since the multi-talented, multi-faceted DeRosa remains retired."Probably better defensively"? That might be an understatement. But Bourjos also has nothing to do with the DH mess. (And he'd cost more in prospects to get so I don't think the Twins are going after him).

kab21 Verified Member Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Are you making the assumption that Arcia isn't going to work out in LF?... because the last word from management is that the 39 year old is going to start out the season in Right, plus management had Arcia move to LF in VE Winter Ball in anticipation. It really doesn't matter where Hunter and Arcia play. One is still going to be 39 yrs old and the other is still going to be a poor defender.
jay Provisional Member Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Aside from not being an ex-Twin, shouldn't this be a reminder of Kubel? If the Padres waived him, he might be interesting as another minor league deal that would hopefully turn out better. For much more than that? No!
