Anyone following this "gamersgate" thing?  Apparently some idiots have been releasing a lot of personal information about female game developers along with death and rape threats.  Felicia Day said "that's not nice" and within minutes her address was posted online.

I've been following it for weeks. It's disgusting. It's misogyny and threats hidden behind a veil of pursuing journalism ethics, never mind that the movement was founded on a lie; a spurned ex-boyfriend spreading vitriolic lies about his developer ex-girlfriend.

 

And anybody who would do something mean to Felicia Day has something seriously wrong with him/her. Day is super-sweet and didn't deserve a lick of what happened to her.

This is disgusting, and I hope those making threats end up in jail, where they belong. Several of my friends have been following this and posting about it for some time now. It makes me very sad.
