And by the look of the left field bleachers, apparently more people will see this Andy Wilkins factoid here on Twins Daily (and Twitter) than at the Cell last night. McDonald's, Pepsi, and Miller Lite extend their thanks to you. :)

Reminds me of some of Wally Hollands great facts:

On Jerry Johnson: Last year though, he was sixth in the American League in hitting right-handers he was facing for the first time...after the seventh inning...at home!

An interesting side note: that's the 14th one-run game for the Tigers already this season, tops for any team north of the Mason-Dixon Line, whose home games are not played in a dome.

Lou, by the way, has hit .416 lifetime versus Hanley in the month of September in even years, so that certainly bodes well for this at-bat

I often question whether the time I spend on this site is well spent? Then I see a comment like this, and I know that there is nothing I could be doing that would be more productive or interesting. :)

Beyond elite.  Neither Ty Cobb nor Pete Rose achieved this, for all their base hits.  Kirby Puckett, born and raised in the city of Chicago, couldn't do it.

It is interesting when analyze the stats above (which were nicely written/chosen) from when the game is played when it is partly cloudy vs. when it is partly sunny.
