Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 Good day to rest Mauer anyway.
CDog Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Now, that's not the actor Will Smith, right?

IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Span is in CF, Plouffe is LF.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Let's keep the winning ways going!
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Hopefully Mauer doesn't miss more than a couple games.
Mr. Ed Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Hopefully Mauer doesn't miss more than a couple games. These are the Twins. LaVelle says already he's guessing the whole series.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 These are the Twins. LaVelle says already he's guessing the whole series.I betcha he forces Gardy to put him in no later than Wednesday - he's on a mission to prove to the fans here that he's not injury prone and tough enough to play through minor ailments.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I admit to being fascinated that Butera is not the catcher....
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I betcha he forces Gardy to put him in no later than Wednesday - he's on a mission to prove to the fans here that he's not injury prone and tough enough to play through minor ailments.I would rather see him rest a couple days rather than rush back and injure the thumb even more. But you're right, I think he is out to prove he's more durable this year.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Willingham gets things started with a 2-run bomb. Twins offense needs to put up a big number tonight.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Good first inning for DeVries - slightly more pitches than I like, but solid start.

Try to swing a bat with a sprained thumb...then try to do it in the big leagues!
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Carroll says, "That's what you get for playing me so shallow!"
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 **sigh** it's gonna be one of those days...
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Dozier could probably use an off day.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 The few times DeVries keeps the ball in the infield, the Twins fielders can't make a routine play. Embarrassing..
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 You need to make the plays that professionals are supposed to make. COME ON!
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Nice fastball by DeVries to end the inning.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Does anyone still think Casilla has a future? Over 1000 ABs, and he still can't hit or field. He's just not good.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Way to get out of that inning Coley Boy!
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Morneau crushes one. That was a no-doubter.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Does anyone still think Casilla has a future? Over 1000 ABs, and he still can't hit or field. He's just not good.He makes some nice plays then makes horrible errors. And his hitting is mediocre. But until we get someone better, he needs to play.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Back to back long balls. Way to go Trev!
striker_86 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Nice homer. Morneau is swinging a hot bat right now! We need it! 2 run lead isnt enough though
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 He makes some nice plays then makes horrible errors. And his hitting is mediocre. But until we get someone better, he needs to play.I agree. He probably has no real future with the team, but right now he's the best they can do.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Nice HRs for Morneau and Plouffe. Great comeback from a bad 4th inning. With all the high draft picks that the Royals have enjoyed, you would think that their pitching would be better.
