TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Plouffie is accumulating homers at a rapid pace. If he keeps this up, half his hits are going to be HRs.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 And the Plouffe should play every day train continues. His OPS is now over 700, even after the awful start. I predict it is close to .800 in a month.
TwinsGuy55422 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 He makes some nice plays then makes horrible errors. And his hitting is mediocre. But until we get someone better, he needs to play.He teases us with his little hot streaks, but overall he has been extremely mediocre and his window is definitely closing.

Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I agree they don't have a better option than Casilla right now, but really, I hope I never hear him mentioned as "young" and "part of the future" ever again.
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Wow, Royals are hitting line drives right at the Twins fielders. Hopefully his luck can continue...
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Does anyone still think Casilla has a future? Over 1000 ABs, and he still can't hit or field. He's just not good. His fielding actually hasn't been that bad this year - tonight's gaffe excepted - but his bat needs to wake up a bit. He hit better the last two years, and if he can regain that, he's a solid part of the lineup.

NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I would give DeVries some credit for pitching a good inning.I will give him credit for throwing strikes and getting 3 quick outs, but you have to admit that the Royals hit the ball very hard that inning.

glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Great performance by Carroll tonight.
IdahoPilgrim Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 So does DeVries go out for the 6th? You've got Liriano tomorrow and Blackburn wednesday - sure would like the bullpen rested, just in case...
NorthwestTwinsFan Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 So does DeVries go out for the 6th? You've got Liriano tomorrow and Blackburn wednesday - sure would like the bullpen rested, just in case...I send him out there, especially with a 4 run lead.
Chance Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Well that went well.... I would have sent him out there also so I'm not saying it was anyones fault
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I also would have sent him. Hopefully Burnett can bail this out.
Chance Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 I was hoping we could piece this game together without perkins/burton/capps... Hopefully we score one or two more so we won't need them

striker_86 Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Burnett looks pretty good tonight -- he might be able to handle another inning or two.Yeah, lets get through the 7th and tack on a few more runs....
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Yeah, lets get through the 7th and tack on a few more runs....Agreed. That would be ideal. Burnett's stuff looks very good tonight.
Chance Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Burnett sure isnt looking injured or sore at all tonight. good to see
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Burnett sure isnt looking injured or sore at all tonight. good to seeThe radar gun is saying that some of his fastballs are hitting 95 mph.
Chance Provisional Member Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 twins just picked a HS pitcher from puerto rico
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Every Twin has at least one hit, with the exception of Span and Doumit. A nice balanced attack.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 twins just picked a HS pitcher from puerto ricoLet's hope that he is good -- he will be their compensation for losing Cuddyer.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Carroll is raising his average tonight -- 3 for 3, including a triple and a stolen base.
glunn Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Yeah, lets get through the 7th and tack on a few more runs....You called it my friend.
