JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Oh Oh. I am not watching the game as I do not have access at this moment. What happened to Hughes? Mike Berardino @MikeBerardino 5m Phil Hughes in a crouch behind home plate after taking Dunn shot off his lower right leg.

Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 I get that a shot in the shins is blindingly painful for a minute, but no way in hell I' come out of a game for it.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Gardy needs to protest that their hitters are trying to hurt our pitchers.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Question...I have my 35th HS reunion in a few days. I haven't been to any previous reunions. I didn't hate high school, but I wasn't crazy about a huge chunk of the school population. Should I bother going?

After I had my 20th, they tried to have a 30th and no one wanted to serve on the committee. So they didn't even try to organize a committee for my 40th. (And this was with a graduating class of 96 -- maybe we were just always ornery.) Sounds like RB had a pretty good time at his recent one, though.

I might go just because of that. I was a cake eater, if you know what I mean.

Other people tell me that the reunions generally get better the further you are removed from high school .... after life knocks people around a little. And you can brag on your gorgeous and talented daughters. But I have to tell you, they print reunion photos in our local paper. The women ALWAYS look much better than the men.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 When it comes to staying in a game, yeah.

I didn't hate high school, but I wasn't crazy about a huge chunk of the school population. Should I bother going? After the weight loss, heck yes! Actually, it varies for everybody. I come from a tiny school and I had only kept track of one classmate. However, I had nothing against anyone so I went to all of the reunions. I drew the short straw at my 30th and proceeded to delay the reunion from 35 to 40 years. When we got together two years ago, all that were there had a nice time and some of us had a really good time. We voted to meet again in five years. The one person I barely talked to was my closest friend in high school and the only one I had stayed in contact with.

I went to Edina, and believe me, these people weren't knocked around much, unless it was their own doing...and yeah, the women look worlds better than the men.

I'd actually bet that isn't true. People lose kids and spouses and they still have health problems and have to deal with aging parents. Your classmates may have been cushioned against some of the hard knocks but reality bites.
hawkiconk Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 Not on your face and hair (or lack thereof). couple different ways to take that:) damn near a triple play

hawkiconk Provisional Member Posted July 25, 2014 Posted July 25, 2014 how many times does a guy hit into a double play and gets on base??
