Trade

Hi all,

What about an early season trade? To the Dodgers (they need a catcher); trade K Suzuki, Hicks, and Nolasco to the Dodgers for Matt Kemp......

That would look horrible to outside players. Nolasco signs a 4-year deal with the Twins and he's traded after 2 starts? No free agent would ever sign here again.

Sounds like somebody's idea of a fantasy baseball trade. Let's keep it in the realm of reality shall we.

The fantasy baseball site is down the road a bit. When you come to the site that mentions NO TWINS 25 MAN ROSTER PLAYERS you found the right site. <note sarcasm>

Nolasco & Suzuki cannot be traded this early since they signed as free agents. I believe it is some time in May or June when you can trade players you signed as free agents. Also, the trade makes no sense for LA anyways. They already had Nolasco and didn't bring him back and they have Drew Butera so why would they need Suzuki...

More realistically, how about Josh Reddick? Check this out: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/mlb/5220

Maybe he's still dealing with the injury from last year and that's why the As want to send him down but if he's healthy and the As have just soured on him, he could be worth a look. He's 27 and should be hitting his prime. Perhaps we can take advantage of Beane's wheelin'-and-dealin' tendencies and buy low on this guy.

I had the same thought over the weekend..."if they're tired of Reddick, we'll take him."

After he gets blindfolded and tied onto a barber's chair for a good hour or two...

Hi all,

Just tired of the bad pitching; wanted to give Deduno a shot; Dodgers need another catcher and they need to get rid of one of their outfielders. Twins need a shot in the arm and can take on some money; Kubel won't last forever.....

Dodgers don't want Suzuki, Hicks or Nolasco, and the Twins aren't going to pay $100 million for a guy who can't stay on the field.

Also, I'd be careful about thinking Deduno would be better than Nolasco.

While the trade is unlikely, Suzuki could be their best trade chip among players here for the short term.

Let's hope he has some luck with BABIP and looks good through June.
