I view Sano as the First Baseman of the Future.  Someone from the glut of middle infield talent could then take over at 3B,     If not Sano, other players can transition into 1B.   No need for signing 1B of the future unless the Twins think he us a future Superstar..  

Just sign as much talent as possible. This year's international signings will take 4-6 years to arrive to the Bigs anyway. If they both stick at SS, slide one over to 3B and you have a potentially HOF left side of the INF for a decade (if you can afford to keep them both). PLUS, you would have another huge, veteran, Spanish-speaking bat at 1B in Sano who can mentor those youngsters. Its only a win all the way around (if you can afford to keep them all).

In a word:  Yes.  At 19 yrs old, I'm curious: are we believing this "Best Player on the Plant" stuff.  IMHO, Plants are pretty stationary.    ;-)

Dates are important here, but it looks like he is the real deal.

The Twins will have the largest International bonus pool next year, so I'd pass. The teams who are barred will be hard to outbid anyways.
