We see it over and over, a player gets hot, he hits everything, then he slumps a little and it just continues. Heres what you do, Arcia being the prime target for this, sit him down, two-three games, never let him get into a prolonged slump and let him go for 5+ games whiffing at everything. Parmalee when he first came back did the same thing..then the slump..not three hits yesterday, in Arcia and Parmalee we have the ideal duo to do this. Joe needs to sit as well..so Parms can go there
Oswaldo Aria is one of my favorite Twins. When he came back up from his wrist injury, he brought energy, enthusiasm, and attitude along with his power stroke. Sadly, he has regressed big time in the month of June. In his last 10 games, here is his line, and it's not pretty: 2-32(.063) with 17 K's, with 0 runs scored and 0 RBI's. What's up with this guy? I was watching him last year, and he was absolutely lights out at Fort Meyers (something like 9-0) with a crazy low ERA. He was promoted to New Briton was was shelled! He started this year at New Briton again with the same results. I believe he was hurt, and sent back to Fort Meyers. Tonight he threw 6 scoreless innings. Is he a prospect or not?

5 days ago, Kyle Gibson pitched the Twins passed the Tigers to tighten the gap to only 3 games. Since, the team has endured an ugly, gut-wrenching 5 game losing streak to fall to 6 games under .500, 6.5 games back in the central, and 5 games back in the Wild Card. What this losing streak showed, especially the 3 game sweep in Boston, was that the Twins are probably done after being relevant for the better part of the first half. Baseball lost another great on Monday morning. Hall of Fame hitter Tony Gwynn passed away at the age of 54. He lost his battle after he had been dealing with cancer issues for some time.
