We laid down on the floor for our last official night. The last night was spent the same as the first-on something other than a real mattress. Full circle. I always told myself I would be done playing if I experienced a long period of time without enjoyment. Passion and heart are what got me to such a point in my career and without them, it would become increasingly difficult. As this season wore on, I started to lose that heart and passion for playing the game I love. Managers, coaches and te
I know ESPN is moronic sometimes but I couldn't believe that I was reading an article where they judged a pitcher based on wins. I thought we were four to five years past that. I'm not asking for advanced stats either, just maybe ERA and strikeouts? Its especially frustrating because Johan was robbed in 2005 for the Cy Young by this very wins mentality. He had an ERA a full .6 lower than Colon (2.87 vs. 3.48), pitched 9 more innings and struck out over 80 more batters but finished third b
With the number five pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, the Minnesota Twins selected Nick Gordon, a high school shortstop from Florida. This is the pick most people expected the Twins to make especially with word coming out that the team's top brass had seen him in person more than any other draft prospect. To read more about Gordon, check out his Twins Daily pre-draft profile. Leading up to the Twins fifth pick, the Houston Astros had the first overall pick for the third straight season. Houston too

Yes? Good, we'll keep bringing it up), and we talk about all of the students Down on the Pond
We know how it is. Life is busy: with work and family and social engagements, there are a lot of demands on your time. So, if you tune out for a while during the long season, you're perfectly normal. Missing baseball games is not unlike missing reading assignments for school, so we're happy to provide this series of Cliff Notes to summarize, explain and analyze the story that is the 2014 Twins Season. (This post is illuminated with pretty pretty pictures on our personal site: Peanuts From Heaven
It's hard to believe the middle of the minor league season is fast approaching. This will mean the announcement of the mid-season All-Star Team rosters over the next few weeks. On Tuesday the Florida State League announced their teams and the Miracle have four players on the roster. Pitchers Jose Berrios, David Hurlbut and Brett Lee will be joined by outfielder Adam Brett Walker on the FSL South Division Team. Berrios, Hurlbut, and Lee have all been fantastic pitchers with each posting an ERA
Minnesota Twins General Manager Terry Ryan had surgery for squamous cell carcinoma in February and has undergone radiation treatment as well. In the meantime, Assistant General Manager Rob Antony has filled in as the interim GM for the Twins, though Ryan has been in regular contact with Antony and others in the Twins front office. During the past Cedar Rapids Kernels homestand, Ryan was in town observing the Twins’ young Class A prospects and sat down Sunday for an interview that covered a ran
What is wrong with the website this year? Not 1 Photo or Video this season. No interviews. There is not a single video highlight of any play this season in Fort Myers. It is as though the season may have never existed to this point. The surprising part is no one seems to care but me. Who are these prospects and what do they look like? CR Kernels post 100's of photos from each game on there Facebook page. Who is in charge of exposure for the club? Maybe if people knew what the product

Hello Twins fans. Here's what dad and I discussed on tonight's Twins show. We discussed tonight's 6-2 loss to the Brewers. We also discussed how the Twins Brewers series doesn't really seem to be much like a rivalry anymore. We ended the show by talking about some of the headlines in the Major Leagues.
