Personally I don't think he's got a grip on today's game, his only excuse, is he's a columnist not a beat writer and can't be expected to be super knowledgeable about all the local teams and trends. LEN 111 now has this excuse as well.

    Lewis played 22 games in the Arizona Fall League at second, third and center without incident. He moved around and adapted. He has played baseball his whole life. Accidents happen and this happened. I chose to accept the fact and not bother with pointless what ifs. You on the other hand can have at it, lol.

    My point is any speculation over whether things would've have been different if things has been handled differently is completely pointless.

    If Lewis is to have a career, there is a good chance team construction and his talents dictate he ends up in center field. If he can't play center without getting injured, he has no chance. If he didn't play center on that particular day...... C'mon now.

    Very unfortunate, he was healthy until this last year or so and he could be healthy and injury free indefinitely after this next rehab. Doesn't he get a big league check since he got injured in the bigs? Selfishly I was looking forward to watching him play. I just can't believe the amount of injuries in this non-contact sport. The pitchers make sense throwing all that gas, but position players? Man it's just tough.

    Rocco this and Rocco that. Conveniently Those That Whine complained about that lineup in game two, but we're noticeably silent about Buxton playing 2 GAMES IN ONE DAY. Hilarious.

    Thank you. I guess people have to vent. Tom F said it well, Rocco manages to the 162 game schedule, sometimes the decisions that produces are hard for those that live and die with every game to take.
