  1. The bullpen sucks and Wallner strikes out in 2/3rds of his ABs.... Yaaaaaawn..... Not really that big of a deal I guess.... None of them will be around in 2027 anyway..... Taj will be though and he was great!!!!!
  2. This bullpen is bad... no, not bad... awful....no, not awful... horrific... no, not horrific.... an unmitigated epic disaster....YES it is settled... an Unmitigated Epic Disaster (trademark pending)
  3. Certainly better than a number of the alternatives... (a little nod and a wink at you Banda ;)
  4. Wait....so are you telling me that this bullpen is awful and always has been?! (checks notes).... um yeah, I mean, yes, sir.... That certainly checks out.
  5. he needs to be playing every....single....day......
  6. Fingers crossed for the start of a Jenkins Heater (trademark pending) Sidenote.... pictures of Jenkins always make me chuckle.... if he doesn't make it as a professional baseball player, he can certainly play one on film... straight out of central casting he is....
  7. Banda pitched a shutout inning and struck out 2.... this is easily the most embarrassing event to occur for the Mets during their 12 game losing streak!
  8. I think the one question is: Do the tweaks that the Twins make to maximize velocity and other factors put more strain on the elbow? There was an article a few days ago that said they dropped his arm slot 2 degrees and increased his extension. Tweaks can improve results, but it can come at the cost of disrupted natural biomechanics.... I'm not saying this definitely contributed to his injury, but I mean, it is possible...
  9. A preexisting crack in the armor... the bullpen was always going to be a problem. Optimism springs though in the performance of Taj, Abel, and Keaschall (he'll be fine) with visions of Ross and Culpepper providing competent defense on the left side of the infield while Emma and Jenkins patrol the outfield.....
  10. By my 2026 Twins success criteria based on future hope, this game was a 'win.' Taj pitched great and Keaschall did well. We've known that this bullpen would not be ready for prime time this season for a long time.
  11. Tait.... Wow! I hope that they are aggressive with his promotions when appropriate similar to Jenkins. If Ross keeps this up, we can have visions of a Culpepper/Ross left side of the infield for the Twins in the next year or two (yes... I'm out on Lewis for future planning)
  12. The fact that we still need to discuss Outman at all is sad and embarrassing for the Twins. There is rarely universal consensus on an issue at TD, but I think there was concerning Outman NOT being on the Twins heading into the season. Again... teams serious about contention do not have Outman on their 40 man roster.... it's just that simple
  13. If Taj and Abel are for real... the TWINS competitive timeline will be moved up significantly. Nothing changes the fortunes of a team more than the emergence of a dominant starter and we could....gulp.. have two this year?! I remember how fun in was when Erickson and Liriano had their initial run... and what a tremendous impact it had on Twins performance overall.
  14. You know it is going to be A NIGHT when Kreidler hits one out in the 2nd! Jeffers is going to get PAID this offseason... unfortunately it is highly unlikely to be by the Twins.... so are we going to let him run out the string and walk for nothing but a comp pick? If we are not solidly out of contention by the deadline... it is going to be VERY interesting how we handle Ryan and Jeffers. It would be a nice problem to have, but a problem none the less..... unless they think this team is a championship contender.... which I do not believe that it is.
  15. I don't think for a second that this week changes the overall playoff prospects for this team. It is still flawed. BUT, I'm following for signs for future success. Along those lines, Taj and Abel have me excited. Ryan and Jeffers also have me excited.... for what they will bring back at the trade deadline.... (would love to resign them but they are taking it to free agency and Pohlads aint winning any bidding war) Oh... and we now have an above average manager instead of a bottom 5 manager!
  16. Why was he ever here?.... one of life's big existential questions...
  17. I'm not sure that positive outcomes with a ~2.0 WIP is sustainable for Taj and Morris but I'll certainly take the outcome for this game!
