    It would certainly be a relief not to discuss Lewis and Walker again next year.....

    I strongly suspect that Sabato does not see the opportunity to be an MLB player for the first time as a 'no win situation' A lifelong goal achieved maybe? yeah... let's probably go with that.

    Well-deserved reward for amazing perseverance working on his craft. A feel good story for sure!

    Jenkins is tracking through the MLB exactly like MiLB. Struggle initially out of the gate and then catch fire. 21 years old and holding his own in the MLB. THIS IS HUGE! Culpepper and Keaschall also legit. EROD... maybe. Ross...maybe a cheap super utility. Houston rising fast. A 3-4 young pitchers showing flashes. The future is BRIGHT. (No Peter did not hack my account :) Keep Buck, Clemens, and Lee. Every other non-pitcher veteran can be replaced by our new young core. (like everyone... to include Martin) Hold your nose gently and keep Ober. Pitching depth is that important. Tear the bandaid off and get SOMETHING more than a compensatory draft pick for Ryan before he inevitably leaves. Track Pablo's recovery close behind the scenes. Take a chance with an extension NOW if you like what you see. Make an actual plan for the bullpen over the winter (I can't believe an MLB team went into a season with no perceptible bullpen plan) This could be a VERY fun team to watch next year as they develop (again... Peter has not Hacked my account)

    Yep... time to finish the inevitable reset that they resisted at the deadline

    As I've posted before, I'm most concerned with his swing and miss in the strike zone. MLB pitchers are far better at challenging in zone with nasty pitches. I hope he can evolve and resolve this issue, because it will clearly determine if he has a long MLB career or not. (well that and his ability to resist the urge for headfirst slides)

    I think the problem is more likely due to what is resting on his shoulders....

    If we had been smart enough to trade him at the deadline, then maybe... otherwise no, he just clogged things up for the overall required rebuild/development

    Agreed that introduction of a cap or a floor could change things, but if it doesn't, it is highly comical to think that the Twins will ever set any market under the current rules

    Who knows what happened or is going on with Lewis. The one thing I do know is that I'm no longer interested in finding out and hope the Twins are no longer interested as well

    As negative as I have been about how the FO handled this whole season..... let me say unequivocally that our current 'core' is weak, but the 'rising core' has the most potential that I have seen in awhile. Potential is obviously no guarantee but at least it is a start
