  1. Suggesting that LEE to the Dodgers for what you want is insane. We don t need an outfielder ? It would be better to convert Lee to the outfield. Complete nonsense
  2. I agree that they should look at the possible signing of an available MLB pitcher on the rebound like Odo, but also feel that they need to really start looking at Varland to see what he can bring to the dance. SRW is getting near to being ready for the Majors also.
  3. I hope that he can finally make it full time and remain healthy to make the most of this chance to finally have a full career. I think Wash is a great manager that will be able to get the most out of him & hold him accountable.
  4. This was a good deal for both sides. In addition, Noah Miller was not going to make the Twins roster with all the talent they have in the middle infield positions. He is recognized as one of the best minor league fielding SS. However, he has yet to show the needed ability to develop as a hitter. I feel that he has a good chance to develop as hitter with the Dodgers. They are known to have a pretty good player development when it comes to hitting. Another good move by the FO to try to make the team better. Should be an interesting Spring & Summer. They can be a very good team if they can stay healthy and can continue to help the pitchers develop.
  5. I believe that Joe Ryan has the ability to take the next step to become a great pitcher. However, having the ability and doing are different. Him being reliant on his faster over the last few years shows that he could be stubborn or resistant to change from a lack of maturity. Time will tell if he can take the next step to get better and become a front line starter.
  6. He is considered one of the best defensive ( if not the best) SS in the minors, It would be a shame if he could not get his bat in order to go along with his defensive skills. He is still young, but I have some concerns that he might not get to a point where he will be given a chance because others will be promoted before him.
  7. This is supposed to be for non English speaking which I totally agree with. If you want to want to be part of the discussion then learn the language. So what if it is Minnesota.
  8. I missed that suggestion. You had a good idea way before me.
  9. I agree Cabrera could be a good get if the price is right. From looking at his pitches and control I believe the Twins could reall y make him better with a little tweaking like they did with Lopez last Spring. He has some good potential that could easily be realized with a little bit of working with Maki to help make into a pretty good starting pitcher. The to get him I will be very reasonable with some of the players that you suggesting.
  10. What were Bullwinkles thoughts about on tis move ? ;) ;)
  11. They should take a chance on Bauer and if he is a bad fit let him go. They could put conditions in the contract to protect themselves.
  12. That is Rodrigues for a project ? Some other prospects sure. Why would you waste a young future 4 0r 5 tool player for a middle of the rotation player ? There alternatives, but what you were proposing to me is too much.
  13. I believe that the idea has merit if the price is not exuberant.  Aaron can give the team a good veteran presence that can play all 3 of outfield position.  In addition,  He has demonstrated an ability to be productive with his bat.   However, we are also in a position where we have prospects like Austin Martin that are basically ready to be given a call up to the majors.  I feel the team would benefit from his skills being used on the major league level.

  14. I think it would ludicrous to trade two good starters and 2 top 100 prospects for one top of the rotation pitcher. You might as well put up the surrender flag for a chance to go to the playoffs.
  15. I believe that he is a good low risk high reward type of option. The Twins have several open spots on the 40 man roster that they can use. In addition, if you look he is still optionable to the minors for the next year if things are not working out or it becomes a situation where someone might have to be sent down.
  16. I think you are spot on in. If they need to spend money on a free agent they should do it on pitching if they are unable to work out another off season trade for a good pitcher. I think they need to take a good look at the pitchers that Marlins are open to trading for one of their position needs where we are dealing from a position of strength.. After the successful trade we made for Lopez where it was a WIN-WIN for both parties it helps when talking about another potential trade.
  17. There better choices out there than Hoskins. He is not worth the money that he wants and mutli-year deal for him is definitely a huge idiotic mistake.
  18. AROD is nothing , but a clown and to be honest I thought this was one of the worst teams that have covered a game period.
  19. Rice has a history of over using their pitchers so that many have developed arm issues or never make the majors
  20. I think that the Twins could really use Martin next Year. If they can use him as a position or utility guy that can make good contact for average it would be great. We have become to dependent on the long Ball and need to get back being a balanced hitting team. The Twins minor league teams seem to have a lot of upcoming talent to choose from.
  21. Rocco needs to go and they need a new hitting coach......There is talent on this team, but I question the heart & the coaches.
