  1. Being in Chicago, I loathe the White Sox. We need to bring back Hawk Harrelson. YYYessssss! Hell Yessss!
  2. Great write up. Nodded my head with everyone of them. Well articulated
  3. The big problem as stated in article is that Polanco can't be 'Super Utility' he has no outfield value or able to play first (which I know can be handled with other options) The problem is our offensive bench is so few with the profusion of relievers teams carry these days The decision is wether Twins believe the ankle won't be an issue and he bounces back on offense. If his ankle is a better I see him getting to a few more balls at SS and his arm is not terrible to my eye. Save the money and get another #2 ish starter
  4. I think asking a rookie to break in as a Super Utility will slow his progress. Not getting enough reps at a position consistently. Also, Aside from 2 weeks in AZ Fall League his bat seems questionable
  5. Don't know if I agree putting Twins on top. Sox hitting will be best in MLB and their pitching is at least as good as ours hopes to be. Hope I'm wrong. Thanks for the article
  6. I'm curious to see how Twins respond or what they're already working on. Sox were going to be competition before this acquisition and Chicago media sounds like they're not done making another major move. Not that it would be major, but Sox picking up Rosario could amount to a future awful play that we will wince at for the next ten years. Go Twins
  7. Could not agree more. If that's not the plan, we're using the wrong plan
  8. Side thought. I've noticed this year how much the fatter, out of shape umps contrast with the younger, fitter umps. I don't believe the fatter umps can keep a good, steady base behind the plate. Their bodies do a lot more leaning. Also, umps getting bad looks at steals of second. Not being in a good position to see tag. Thank god nobody steals anymore
  9. Fun, informative, creative. Good job Nick.
  10. I'm curious with an organizational answer. The Post Season failings are verging on 3 generations of line up, 3 managers, 2 1/2 front offices, Multiple high draft picks, and a dedication to analytics and 'new school thought'. Fine and good, but nothing has changed when it comes down to winning 2 of 3 games. Yes, everything is a crapshoot in post season, but we seem to roll the dice to crap the bed no matter who's managing, scouting, front-officing, or playing.
  11. Great write up. I don't see how we can use him where every inning matters from here on out. If they do use him in anything remotely important I'll be excited because they obviously REALY see something in him now
  12. Seth, your choice for last bat is very interesting. I initially thought Wade and no way Austudillo. Then I went Blankenhorn and finally went Austudillo. However silly having 4 catchers on the post season roster
  13. Since 2015, the Twins are 2-17 at Yankee Stadium That fun tidbit made me shudder. Win Out. Isn't this why we've been giving guys regular rest and extend IL time.? The time is now.
  14. Will third Trov. Kepler has power, defensive skills, and good AB approach. This is not a year to make an assumption. Same with Rosario (although his leed may be shorter)
  15. You're right. I should have looked closer. Like I said, my thoughts as the game went on did not jive with the stats. I don't know wether I still have too high expectations for Berrios or need to accept him for what he is. How can I be mad with 1 run in 5ip
  16. Thanks. Never been to site before. There is A LOT going on there. He did have a lot of consecutive strikes, but didn't have a swinging strike/called strike back to back. Lots of fouls and balls hit into play. So the stats don't back up my thoughts which are always true
  17. Is there a site to see pitch-by-pitch? I'm pretty sure Berrios did not throw back-to-back strikes last night and would like to see if that was true
  18. it’s arguably their most important series of the year. No offense Ted, and I like your work, but as I've bitched on TD the last 2 years, stop using the adverb arguably. This is the most important series of the year. All games matter, but when it's crunch time there is no arguing THIS is the series that is most important I just get miffed at the overuse of the word. Will end rant. Thanks for the work you do.
  19. It's too bad we didn't take care of business our last time around with Detroit and K.C. A couple extra wins would be nice
  20. Wouldn't want to play them this year in a 3 game series. Strong starting pitching and a mashing lineup. Yes, they are historically bad at fielding. But I hate to have my season ended by that team (would the Yankees hurt more or expected?) Sigh.
