  1. Sabato looked like he was going to be a total bust until last year, so the fact that he's gotten to the point of getting a spring training invite is kind of amazing. Who knows, maybe he'll be the 2026 Sire of Fort Myers.
  2. Taylor Rogers was one of our "starter" arms in the minors that transitioned to the bullpen for the Twins. Can't hurt to have that direct experience with this group of young arms possibly facing the same type transition.
  3. The lead photo is a curious capture in time. Didn't he used to have fingers on his pitching hand?
  4. The Derek Falvey prayer: "I'm a General Manager, but I can change if I have to... I guess."
  5. I think the experience they are giving Culpepper at 2B and 3B is more about gaining some comfort at those positions in case he is needed there more than moving him off the shortstop position.
  6. I think the article was more about Culpepper making himself ready for some possible Major League experience in 2026, not so much being a savior or big ticket player.
  7. Nothing like facts to get in the way of a good meme. Now watch him crush baseballs in Spring Training and muck up the 1B issue even further.
  8. Lets see, Mickey Gasper was the headline photo in the Catcher's Pipeline article and got DFA'd, and now Aaron Sabato is the headline photo for the first baseman. What's the over/under on Sabato being DFA'd next week?
  9. Looking at Brujan's stats, he's increased his batting average and OPS+ every season. At least the dude is trending in the right direction.
  10. Derek Derek, turn on the reliever making machine.
  11. Good people are good leaders just by being themselves around people. If that is Josh Bell, he will be an asset in the clubhouse. I'm hoping the 2026 Twins get off to a decent start and stay competitive.
  12. Aye Carumba. Not to pick on you Bigfork Guy, but after 2 years of the NUMEROUS posts by many that the Twins need a RH hitting corner guy to hit lefties, we're now asking why?
  13. Pretty much. It took the struggling Brent Rooker "3-teams-later" to become the slugging Brent Rooker.
  14. The 3 bats? Dingbat, Wombat and Moonbat. We're rounding out our roster with guys whose OPS+ are 76, 46 and 11 (100 being average). It could be a long summer.
  15. It will be interesting come spring training what kind of velocity Ober's fastball has. Hopefully his health issues in 2025 were the reason for the drop in velocity. We will see.
  16. Agreed, at times he reminded me of a major league pitcher on rehab fine tuning his pitches and just taking hitters down in the process. He looks like he could be an asset in the Twin's bullpen in 2026. Longer term his outlook might be as a starter, but maybe pitching in relief is better for his arm and body.
  17. I nominate Matt for assistant pitching coach.
