    And . . . he pitched an inning at Charlotte last year with an ERA of 0.00. And in other news . . . I went to look at getting a new Mercedes today. After realizing that driving it would probably require a 3 week training course to operate the thing I said forget it. I think a car company that offered a model with just power steering and power brakes to start might be on to something.

    Interesting that both teams mentioned in the article as being innovators in how they use their pitching staff finished last in their respective leagues in ERA and ERA+. I wonder how much of their "innovation" was more about just getting through the season more than anything else.

    Shelty will have his work cut out for him to bring together a competitive team this year. I'm just hoping that includes at least some inspiring baseball to watch this summer otherwise it could be a dreadful baseball season around here.

    Jeremy Zoll is the GM and will be the GM, no change there. Shelton is ok.

    I was thinking the same thing but didn't say it. The reason it seems plausible is the way Lewis was moving around the last 2 months of 2025; he looked faster and more agile. Lee played pretty good defense at 3B when he played there before, and maybe the reduced defensive stress would help him offensively, but thats a guess on my part.
