    I'm surprised the Twins are calling Lewis up already. I guess if confidence was the major necessary improvement, ok. And starting at 2B after playing there 1 game for St. Paul, ok. Maybe Lewis is on board with this now and the combo of revived confidence and a new position(s) will be a springboard for more success moving forward.

    So I guess if we combine these he was thinner and stronger but still pitched like crap. 🙂

    Last August SWR had surgery to remove a parasite from his digestive track and lost weight and strength as a result. He has looked "thin" to me this year. I wonder if this has had any effect on his pitching results.

    It will be interesting to see how Hilker's fastball plays as he moves up in the system.

    Kyler Fedko is another Twin's minor leaguer who has shown he deserves a shot at spending some time on the MLB roster. Ben Ross is also putting himself in position for a future call up.

    Josh Bell hit 3 home runs early in the season, then hit 2 homers May 18th. He has provided no consistency from the middle of the batting order and has a 72 OPS+ for the year, mostly from the DH position. Lets not even mention his glove work. I get that they paid him to play but if he continues at this level of contribution I'd just as soon see what Aaron Sabato can do. Why not?

    That and the fact (if my math is correct) the bullpen guys have thrown 217 pitches over the last 2 games, we need some fresh arms.

    It was 7 stolen bases across both games of the double header yesterday. But yes the kid has some wheels.

    That catch by Austin Martin was just plain outstanding.

    Thanks Seth. A little time for a mental reset before reporting I imagine. Or, a total melt down while clamoring for his agent to find him a new home. 😀

    Royce Lewis hit his 2 homers for the Saints on April 18th & 19th during his rehab recovering from a knee sprain. I don't think he has appeared in a Saints game since being sent down on Tuesday.

    I think the over/under for Alex Jackson could be the performance of Jhonny Pereda who was our 3rd catcher before MLB Musical Chair season. He's in Seattle now (called up when the Big Dumper went on the IL) and sitting at 0.0 WAR and 33 OPS+ in 5 games.

    E-Rod is currently injured.

    Royce Lewis' minor league stats are very pedestrian; nothing stands out to say this player is going to be a star. He got bulked up coming back from ACL Tear II, fell in love with being a pull-heavy power hitter and has never been the same. He's a superstar wanna be with good physical tools, but I'm not sure he can handle a "demotion" and accomplish meaningful work on his hitting approach and swing. I hope he proves me wrong.

    Stabilized, as in the dumpster fire is on continuous burn notice.

    The fishing opener. Used to pack up the Winnebago with tackle, beer, my grandfather and a bunch of other retired "fisherman" because Mille Lacs didn't have enough matching that description on opening day. Those were "memorable" weekends.
