  1. I am loving this Logan Morrison signing. Reminds me of Rondell White and Butch Huskey
  2. Wouldn’t be shocked if they saw the early forecasts in Rochester and just wanted him to get innings in to stay fresh. 3 games postponed up north already
  3. Rooker is sure starting Ice cold. He did last year too before he went an absolute tear. Hope he picks it up quick
  4. Littell stuff was not sharp yesterday. He pitched out of jams. Had a lot of pitches at that point
  5. Apparently only 5 players in history of mlb have that combo (over 1000 at bats). Rickey Henderson, Ryan Ludwick, Cody Ross and 2 others. Apparently it is much more common to bat left and throw right. There are hundreds of examples of that
  6. 2 stints with the Giants. Phillies and Pirates as well. https://deadspin.com/engelb-vielma-tracker-all-your-hot-engelb-vielma-moves-1822464261
  7. I think he's been on 6 teams since last year. Think he's with the Orioles now.
  8. So much for shortening the length of the game.
  9. Great D! Love Rodney. He has some deception to his pitching
  10. I honestly feel like Sano is a bigger risk than Buxton
  11. Maybe we could trade for Cole Hamels. He is unhappy with the Rangers 6 man rotation. They want to go with more pitchers Andes innings. Maybe Gonsalves and Romero would get it done?
  12. Wow didn’t realize it was 90 minutes! Maybe some just quick hitters or interesting points
  13. Do you have a transcript version? Don’t listen much but would be interested if they had any interesting quotes
  14. I agree that if we like Kinley we have a lot of options of trading a borderline guy to the Miami to keep him. No reason for him to start in majors
  15. Wow we lost a lot of guys. For me Randy Rosario hurts the most
  16. Seeing Jay at 19 and Severino at 18? Without going further, I know this is one hell of a system. If we are in contention at the deadline, we will have pieces teams are interested in.
  17. Bob... I saw him in Cedar Rapids and for some reason when I saw him, he reminded me of George Springer. Not sure why exactly, but just made me think of him. Thoughts?
  18. Same here... I didn't read about him at all until a few hours before the draft and was loving it. Wasn't feeling McKay at all. Wright scared me. I wanted Greene but I wasn't sure. I think Gore would be a great pick but he seemed to be the 4th best value at pitcher for that pick and it'd be hard to reach that much. Then I read about Lewis. Athletic as hell. Even better intangibles. The kicker? Coming at a discount to get another guy... After Rooker and Leach, I was skeptical again (they didn't seem like the high dollar guy, and I wanted the Minnesota Pitcher) but then we got Enlow. Loved that.
  19. wow .330 BABIP. Puts the last month in perspective. He was great but had some bad luck. Let's get him going strong. Hope he can debut this year.
  20. In football terms, it’s like trading for a starter for a future 4th round pick
  21. Bingo. Even if it turned some of those homers into doubles. Its a net positive.
  22. Exactly. But they impact performance. Lets add them to the equation. Let’s pretend 500 balls in play at .300. That’s 150 hits. Now 500 balls in play at .200. That’s 100 hits. Now let’s add 30 homeruns to the .200 rate and 18 homeruns to the .300 rate 168/518 = .324 130/530 = .245 Closes the gap in rate quite dramatically. Now plug in the actual numbers? .270 vs. .230 starting point? Actual average balls in play each year... can’t find the raw stats that go into it, but I’m guessing there’s no difference once you account for homeruns.
  23. 40 extra innInns. Year before was 18 in more innings as well. That makes up for the BABIP argument
  24. I’ll take odorrizzi having higher BABIP rate if it means giving up less homers
  25. Won’t like me quote you mike but came here to post the same article. His BABIP was so low last year because those 17 extra hits were homers last year and didn’t count towards BABIP.
