  1. Is the Bears coach chewing gum while wearing a headset?!? If I had to listen to that, Id be playing like Williams too.
  2. 4th Q in the other game and neither team's QB is over 100 yards passing. How did that game make prime time?
  3. Yeah, big mystery, I wonder if they hire an offensive or defensive minded coach next year..........
  4. I don’t remember Swift being able to carry defenders five yards after contact before.
  5. Wow, poor timing on that take....
  6. They've hardly used Nailor recently, so they might as well just stick with two TE sets to help out the tackles now. Oliver and Mundt have been capable pass catchers when they absolutely need them to be.
  7. Seems pretty unimportant. I wear sweatpants and tshirts. Sometimes my wife makes me put on a nicer shirt and jeans if we go out.
  8. What was Hockenson doing on that pick? Replay looks like he catches that easy if he’s looking at the pass. Looked like he was trying to block.
  9. No. As long as it doesn't impact their play, they could wear top hats and speedos for all I care.
  10. I'd like to hear more of Joe's resume but my guess has been that Jim didn't want to run the team anymore so they decided to explore selling and gave the keys to the youngster to play around with it before the family was done with the team. As to St. Peter, I can't imagine he ever knew much about business. He was hired as a kid out of college and has zero work experience outside of the Twins. I mean if he ever actually was learning about TV deals, marketing or fan engagement, it would have been from some old-timer back in the 1990s. Not exactly a relevant period to today's strategies. I envision his sage advice something like:
  11. The only two businesses I've heard disclosed that Joe Pohlad was given to run were two different radio stations. Which he promptly ran into the ground and the family had to sell at a giant loss.
  12. The NBA also has salary caps and salary floors and they are only 14M apart. Spending that extra 14M to try to make the team more exciting is probably worth the investment when trying to sell. The Twins on the other hand would have to spend 100-140M to reach the top tier of their league. If they aren't willing to spend in that range, they're probably more likely to appeal to new buyers with glowing cashflow instead of an exciting product. That was not an endorsement.
  13. I don't like Gilmore being out with a QB who can buy time with his legs. The Vikings need to get to the QB better than they did last game against Atlanta.
  14. In either case, it would be nice if this team could put down a few more references when it comes to former Japanese players. Or Cuban players.
  15. I wouldn't say he sounded happy, but he sounded defensive and backed up the last player and downplayed the intent when he clearly tried to injure Lawrence. I hope he doesn't do that again, but I'm guessing he'll continue to back his players and frame it to the team as an 'us against the world' kind of thing.
  16. I like DeMeco Ryans, but his team is starting to give off Sean Peyton vibes. His reaction after his LB knocked our Trevor Lawrence two weeks ago was not at all reassuring. I hope his responses are better this week because he'll get some tough questions.
  17. Yeah, sounds like bad news for their offense, but they might get a hidden benefit from that as Gibbs is so much better of a running back. I think he's the most dynamic rusher with the ball in his hands in the league right now. They might be better giving him more carries anyway. Of course the downside of giving him more carries is a higher risk of injury, which is the trend they're dealing with. Or maybe just the added workload wears him down by the end of the game.
  18. Face tattoo night. THC seltzer night. Work from the stadium in your pajamas night. Bring your Stanley tumbler to the stadium night. Filled with THC seltzer.
  19. If the Pohlad's are selling the team, I just don't see them putting more guaranteed payments on the expense sheet. Even if it was a good idea from a baseball standpoint, it doesn't seem like a good idea from an executive standpoint. As cool as it is, you don't slap one of those Calvin peeing on a Yankees logo on your car when you try to sell it. There's a slim chance potential buyers won't find it as appealing as you do.
  20. I know everyone hates KC right now, but they cracked down on that specificity because of KC. They haven’t universally fixed the offsides inequality that has benefited GB for two decades.
  21. The GB offsides schtick is the biggest bunch of BS in the league. They let the center flinch and for some reason they give GB free plays just about every time even though they blow the whistle and stop the play for everyone else.
  22. Way too passive in free agency. Decent drafts, but I'd take several other GMs over him.
  23. I don't think GB is better, I'd put them on the same tier. And not to jinx anything, but there's no way Detroit can be the same team with all those defensive injuries. I'm guessing they'll beat the Bears next week, but I'm really curios to see how they do against a professional, even if cooked, team like San Francisco on the road. If SF is all but done, they may look at that game as their Super Bowl. I hate that I think Philly is going to claim the #1 seed.
  24. I hold my vote for the time being, but the BB%/K% looks similar to Keashall along with Julien and Steer before him in their first taste of pro ball. I wouldn't be surprised if they tweaked Amick's swing to try to unlock more power next year like they did with these other guys with positive ratios.
  25. Controversial take here: I'm glad Detroit beat GB last week. Otherwise, if GB beats MN and MN beats Detroit, GB probably steals the division through the back door.
