  1. Is KC even playing any receivers? Or is it just RBs and TEs running routes?
  2. And what seems to be a pretty accommodating owner who doesn't meddle with the actual football stuff. Unless he's forced to break up a fight between his HOF QB and HOF coach.
  3. Jarod Mayo is the first HC out the door. I agree with the move as I think if that organization wanted to return to being competitive, they needed to clean house and start over with no Belichick ties. But of course the rumors are that Mayo is out so they can aggressively chase Mike Vrabel. Which keeps the Belichick era going. I know Mike Florio and tons of league pundits love Vrabel and think he was unfairly fired, but he's the kind of coach that will never win a title because he refuses to adapt to modern football. Which, if it's not YOUR favorite team, that's fine. Playoff appearances with no shot at a championship only matter to the actual fans of the team. Sorry Vrabel, sorry Mike Tomlin, but insisting that you will only try to win by having an awesome defense and awesome run game doesn't work anymore. Not saying it's impossible, but it's like a once every decade and a half proposition. And building an elite defense and elite running game is harder than they think. An innovative, high flying offense is a much better bet. The Patriots now may have the QB to do that, but I'd be worried that Vrabel will completely ruin it by turning him into a game manager.
  4. Sucks for everybody who hates Sean Peyton too.
  5. Good, they have a better shot at knocking out Detroit next week.🤩
  6. It's the Browns, they aren't firing Stafanski, because they are the cheapest team in the league and won't pay two coaches. I'm glad he's likely not getting fired, because I think he might be a perfect fit to developing Caleb Williams.
  7. It's definitely a power move. Basically saying the Lions and the Vikings are the same as the Commanders and Packers. Still, watching the Commanders and Packers today, I'm wondering if they're a bit regretful. Those look like much easier victories at the moment. Though, I think I mentioned previously, this Lions/Vikings matchup is about as hyped as any regular season game ever. I could easily see the loser losing all air having to play on the road and miss out on the bye.
  8. I'm surprised the Rams are sitting the starters. A win and they for sure avoid the two 14 win teams.
  9. Bailey Zappe's mom is very, very happy.
  10. That seems ambitious, however, it is the Lions players complaining about the loser of this game going on the road. Haven't heard a word from the Vikings. I 100% think the Lions are open to going in the tank if the game starts to fade away from them. There's way more pressure on them than there is on the Vikings.
  11. The Vikings haven't been the #1 seed since 1998. Sorry, but yeah, I'd say that being happy for another team after we've waited more than a quarter century to be the #1 seed and we've NEVER won the championship is definitively a turncoat move.
  12. I was going to say the B squad in a Big 10 spring scrimmage. I can't watch this crap. The Ravens have the division on the line and clearly aren't even taking this game seriously.
  13. If the Twins are trading Paddack to free up room for this guy, why wouldn't they just keep Paddack? I trust neither, but I'd trust Paddack more.
  14. The problem is that the Twins should only sign him to be a reliever but if there are multiple teams, one will most likely promise him a starting job. The Twins should absolutely not make that promise. I also don't like how these pitchers struggle here, find success in the KBO or JPL, then come back here and have success despite typically having poor strikeout numbers. Without the strikeouts, these players put me on edge as I don't trust the success to last. These guys all give me Stepford Wives vibes.
  15. Agree. If I'm a free agent looking for a multi year deal, Minnesota might be the last place I'd go right now. I know, it sucks as a Twins fan, but with owner uncertainty, this is the most unpredictable destination in MLB right now. I honestly wouldn't be surprised it the top sports agents have taken the Twins off of their speed dials until the situation is resolved.
  16. I get it, and he's not bad. But I'm not looking to add defense, I'm looking to add offense or add nothing at all. Offense is this team's biggest problem at the moment. Going from Miranda to Mountcastle seems to be just treading water at best and sacrificing more offense for defense at worst, so I guess I'd stick with Miranda and look to use the financial and trade equity elsewhere.
  17. I'm only minimally interested in Mouontcastle. I like that he appears to be statistically consistent, which the Twins as a team are really, really bad at, but he has no ceiling. A corner bat with no power and poor on-base skills, I wouldn't give up much for him. As for Sasaki; the Twins just missed the playoffs and haven't been a regular contender in years, they let their GM walk and didn't bother replacing him, ownership is in flux making the future undetermined and they've begun a trend of clearing payroll. If they somehow convince Sasaki to come here over the many other more desirable landing spots, Falvey will have put together the best sales pitch in the history of sales pitches.
  18. I agree they are WAAAAAY more smug, and it's unearned. I really loathe them. I just think the SEC presidents and state legislatures down south should be held criminally responsible for diverting all these funds. Those are the states where the people need them the most. So I hate the SEC more as there are many more real-world consequences for their behavior. And gross, listening to Tim Tebow gush about Riley Leonard. 'No he didn't have the stats, but his players love him more for that. His toughness is what REALLY matters.' No one is fooled Tim, we all know you're talking about yourself.
  19. Yeah, my dislike of the undeserved smugness of Notre Dame takes a backseat to the irrational and indignant whining from the good ol' boys of the SEC. Your states are the poorest, most uneducated and have the worst healthcare in the country. Stop giving all your state tax dollars to these stupid football programs you crooked, selfish, morons!!!
  20. Ugh, you're the worst Thumper, fine! A MiLB deal sounds OK to me.
  21. Why was Max Kepler allowed to stink and then work his way through facing left handed pitchers but this new crop of hitters aren't allowed the same grace? Max Kepler had a !.430! OPS in 2017 against lefties while getting 137 plate appearances. Wallner, Larnach and Julien only got 100 PA against lefties COMBINED last year, and every one of those guys fared better than 2017 Max Kepler. Derek Falvey was here, Baldelli wasn't. I think someone needs to be firm with the manager and let him know he's got to get over this mental roadblock.
  22. Sorry, but the second line is what should be sending up the red flags. "The Twins have accomplished next-to nothing this offseason. Fortunately, at least according to FanGraphs, nearly any offensive addition would help." That is obviously not true as we see just about 'any offensive addition' does in fact NOT help most years. Aside from the Carlos Santana outlier, only top end free agents have worked out here. Don't add some broken down vet just because FanGraphs has a minimally positive projection. And I have no problem trading Paddock or Vazquez, but why would you trade them both just to afford one of these names? I'd rather the team not do a damn thing and annoy us all with the inactivity this winter.
  23. Nice! I have a few of those, but never noticed until seeing them next to each other that 1962-1965 was the exact same pic?!?! Must have been weird for Jim Perry when Jack Kralick showed back up to take his place in the photo!
  24. Isn't that the old drug dealer trick? Favley left a baggy of Margot on the coffee table knowing Baldelli would be too tempted to resist? C'mon Rocco, you know you want a taste.....
  25. I jump on that, which makes me think it’s a tall order. Im not even sure what I’d do with a top ten pick this year. Too early for IOL based on most rankings. Mason Graham would be the right choice I suppose, but I’d still like to wait for combine info to come out. Michigans DL is awesome, maybe he’s good because the guys next to him are also studs. I know it’s not cool to do anymore, but I might just say, screw it, take Jeanty and enjoy the offensive fireworks.
