    No, no and NO. Arraez isnt getting traded......If he did, we would get fleeced no matter who the return was.

    In an offseason where the FO openly declares they are going after "Impact pitching" you are gonna have a pretty angry fan base on your hands if you only come away with the 2019 rotation + a Rick Porcello type. We need to aim higher. Wheeler I am fine with (and hope we get him) but we also need one more "impact" arm in addition.

    Gibby (no offense to him) is very over rated in the national rankings. That just is what it is.

    They will indeed be looking at them but I believe its virtually a foregone conclusion already that neither Cole nor Strasburg want to pitch anywhere other than on a coast, which we are not. Ive already mentally moved on from these two, unfortunately.

    Im done with Kyle. Hes had ample chances.....he hasnt been battling illness since we drafted him, has he? Hes a perpetual head case, and id never trust him in big regular season games much less in the postseason.

    I dont care what else happens....If Gibson is on the 2020 roster, this offseason was a failure. He will be our litmus test.

    And.....For what its worth, Bleacher Reports list of the top 10 available free agent starters included (with Martin Perez being an honorable mention) 4 Twins starters....Odorizzi, Pineada and Gibson......so lets not target mid level guys here unless we are content with basically just resigning the entire group we already had +Jose Berrios and calling it an offseason.

    Anything less than acquiring at least one bonafida ACE (think G. Cole) this offseason should be viewed as total failure....As pointed out in the latest podcast, the "sustainable winner model" pretty much translates to being built to win the AL central, but not much more. We need a shut down pitcher we fans can be excited to trust against the Yankees come October.

    What Im disputing is the notion that Cleveland winning the division is a foregone conclusion.

    "Minnesota is likely going to finish behind Cleveland in the AL Central. The Indians have more depth and have been near the top of the AL over the last two seasons" You lost me right here. What did cleveland do this offseason? They LOST key players and added no one. Check my math but I do believe that results in a net loss. I know the pundits would argue otherwise, but I foresee the Twins/Indians battle for first to be much closer than many predict.

    After Ervin, now Jorge, perhaps the twins need to crack down and keep a closer watch on what their players are doing/taking while in the Wild West that is the DR. Not to call out any specific country but 2 times now? Kinda getting old guys.... Someone please step up and dont let this destroy our season.

    Berrios, Lynn, Santana, Ordorizzi and then most likely Gibson is not a half bad rotation. Guessing this means the 4 man rotation thing is a no-go? Begins slow clap...

    Also the notion of Mejia or Gibson, Gonsalves and May being the odd men out and ending up in the bullpen isn't too shabby either.

    And I agree with you completely, but we are also not taking your run of the mill pwer hitting 1B/DH. We are talking Miguel Sano here...Isnt his power level still in the category of "generational" and "once in a lifetime"?

    Wait a sec...I posted Sano to TB straight up for Archer acouple weeks back as a joke more than anything...was this actually the offer? If so, damn is all I have to say. Time will tell if that was an epic miss or a bullet dodged, from either side of the trade.

    I said it in another thread and ill say it again now: this is not the fault of the FO. YU DARVISH DID NOT WANT TO PLAY HERE. Im sorry folks, thats the reality. All we can do now is re-group, go get the next in line and then hope come October we are facing Darvish in the WS and he implodes like he did in 2017.
