    I said it in another thread and ill say it again now: this is not the fault of the FO. YU DARVISH DID NOT WANT TO PLAY HERE. Im sorry folks, thats the reality. All we can do now is re-group, go get the next in line and then hope come October we are facing Darvish in the WS and he implodes like he did in 2017.

    I apologize because I haven't backread but has any discussion been had about the fact that the twins have offered Darvish a 5 years and he has not taken it? Beyond that it was widely reported yesterday that Darvish TURNED DOWN a 5 year offer...id place a bet that was Minnesota. Guys, I dont think he wants to play here. Its not our fault...we are offering otherworldly money and hes not biting. It just really sucks that the one time in the teams history that we actually open the checkbook and our wanted man wont take the check. Sad but lets go prove them all wrong.

    I disagree. Call me stupid but I think we have a special case in Miguel Sano. As another commenter said in a different thread,t here seems to be a chronic belief among specifically MN Twins fans that we just cant have nice things. JUST BELIEVE PEOPLE.

    Redsox acquire Sale for 4 prospects....kind of laughing to myself at those who said it would take a package of Sano/Buxton, Dozier and Berrios (and maybe even additional players to swing a Sale trade.....Why do even we as twins fans undervalue our own players?? Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy. IMO, I wouldnt want sale if it cost me ANY of the above mentioned players. I would have proably done a Rosario, Palka and Vargas trade for him, but thatd be about it.

    Anybody starting to wonder if there was a reason Houston took Correa instead of Buxton with the #1 overall pick in the 2012 draft?

    I still use a flip phone. Happily. I will never, ever use an "e-Ticket". Every event I attend is retained through my psychical stub and im not changing. In this "here now gone later world:, im still very much a tangible guy.

    Why do the Twins seem to have the situation of a pitcher being good for one year then being bad the rest of their time hear more often than other teams? Sure once data is collected on a guy teams can have his number more but.....come on. Nobody else seems to have this problem as often as we do. Then to make it worse they go to another team and have a career renaissance. Something stinks here...

    All this assumes Buxton makes the starting lineup on opening day, which remains to be seen

    Ricky is on the verge of becoming our clubhouse cancer with that delusional attitude and expectation of entitlement. Cut bait now. I don't want to see his attitude infecting our up and coming talent on the farm either.

    Devils advocate here, but what if the other side of the coin becomes true, and Sano isn't a competent OF at all and becomes Arcia 2.0? Then do we force a Plouffe trade to get him back at 3rd? What if Park is lighting it up in the DH spot? Bench him to put Sano in at DH? Bench Mauer and put Sano at 1st? (this is said in jest...we all know Mauer wont get benched no matter what his level of play is)

    Apologies if it has already been mentioned, but I think the larger issue here is that if Sano is your permanent RF going forward, and Buxton will inevitably be the CF sooner or later, where does that leave either Rosario or Kepler?? Cant have 4 guys out there at once. Seems like a big waste of spot on Sano when you have much more optimal OF's in Rosario and Kepler. This is quite alarming actually. Trade coming?

    Long time lurker....first post. Hey all! How many times are we going to do this? Ive lost count of the starters we have or are trying to convert to relievers... Seems like we do this way more than other clubs. Not that im opposed to getting him to a level of production matching his talents if converting is the key to doing that but....come on already!
