  1. I suddenly remembered why I logged out of this clown show for a long time. Time to do that again.
  2. I don't because I have a life. And, if we're being honest, even if I did, you'd pi$$ all over it like you do with anyone that disagrees with you on anything in this site.
  3. Twins Daily, brought to you by FanGraphs and their completely worthless cost valuations.
  4. I was hoping he'd break camp with the team, but I'm happy they're willing to bring him up this early.
  5. I always assumed it would be Toby that would take over when the time came. We love good stories here in Minnesota, and that would be a good story.
  6. "(thanks to Buxton’s availability) ..." Um, what did I miss last year? The last time I checked, Buxton started 87 games in CF, which is about 53%. He came in as a defensive substitute another 7 times. That means there were 75 games (47%) where there was ABSOLUTELY an immediate need for production in CF, which ideally would have fallen on Margot. As @Linusmentioned, they missed the playoffs by 1 game. Margot didn't produce and the others manning the position didn't produce enough. End of story. Just because Doncon might end up outperforming Miller down the line, doesn't make this trade a success. Sure, it would be a nice consolation prize, but the desired outcome of that deal didn't come to fruition.
  7. Definitely a "what could've been" kind of guy. Favorite memory was the grand slam off Rivera in 2010. He also hit really well off some really good pitchers. OPS: Verlander (.750), Rivera (1.489), Freddie Garcia (1.805), Matsuzaka (1.141), Oswalt (1.125), Scherzer (1.125), Greinke (.946).
  8. But on the bright side, Paddack's BABIP allowed is only .231 thanks to the HRs.
  9. Rocco's talking about bringing a live chicken into the clubhouse to give France some luck. How long until there's a life-size cutout of Joe Pohlad in a banana hammock in the locker room?
  10. Here's hoping Zebby or Festa can recreate this for us sooner rather than later.
  11. Game 4 and they're breaking out the Chris Gimenez stories. Ouch.
  12. The lack of arms makes this Sheriff much less detrimental to the Twins' chances.
  13. Haven't even had a chance to unleash Speas on the world yet.
  14. You're grasping at straws here. Breaking up a no-hitter when they've already waved the white flag is a gigantic nothing. You know better.
  15. Way too excited for a single in a blowout.
  16. Provus calling Castro's single like he just cured cancer, solved world hunger, and won the World Series Gene Larkin style is peak cringe.
  17. Well, I'm sure many heads are moving back and to the left as they nod in and out of consciousness from this snoozer.
  18. Has anyone tried jiggling the handle?
  19. Guys aren't performing like they're capable of and the team exudes zero confidence or fire, and hasn't since before the All Star break last season. So what happened? The likeliest scenario to me is that Rocco has lost their attention in the clubhouse and it's carrying over to the field.
  20. After this weekend I think I'll wait a while before turning my free trial to Twins TV to a paid subscription. What a lifeless series. Very disappointing.
  21. The Twins will finish the season 83-79, just under the Vegas number of 83.5, allowing my ticket to cash. They will then parlay that to a Wild Card spot and make an improbable World Series run, again allowing me to cash a ticket at +3500.
  22. Nah, I'm good. Last time I checked criticism was allowed on this website. I haven't attacked the man or anyone else personally, so I'll continue as I see fit.
  23. If he was going to turn into anything worthwhile, don't you think he would have by now? And there's no "last spot" on a roster. There's just 26 spots.
  24. 6 innings and they shipped him off to Minor League camp. He's a sunken cost, why keep trying to recoup value from it. How are we so convinced he'll fail? Because we have eyes? Or maybe it was the playoff debacle of 2019. Or the major league failures of 2021 and 2024. Or in 2022 and 2023 when he was injured and/or deemed not good enough to even sniff the majors. The guy has failed more than he's succeeded at the highest level. He even failed himself into an unnecessary extension. I mean, good for him, but bad for a team that cries poverty every chance they get.
