  1. Holland is cruising. Even with 3 errors, only up to 60 pitches through 5. Hughes has settled in pretty nicely, as well.
  2. Buxton had to have missed a sign, right? How can you not have him bunt?
  3. Holland looks sharp. He'd sure look nice in our 4 slot.
  4. That might be a 5+ run inning if it were 10-20 degrees warmer. Is Hughes really one of the top 5 options right now?
  5. Hughes is going to have a rough year.
  6. Man, even if he didn't get him there, its really nice to have a catcher that can throw a baseball.
  7. Grossman in the 2 hole? Yuck. Time to sit back and watch Hughes throw BP.
  8. You're right on that one. Alas, not being high on humanity in this day and age, I was worried about derailing the thread with a Left vs. Right diatribe riddled bash-fest. Probably underestimated this community.
  9. It'll be good to play someone else to get an idea of where this team actually is. Not that the Sox are any good. But, I'm still skeptical that the last series wasn't more of a result of the Royals being terrible. I haven't seen a lineup yet, but I'm hoping I see: Dozier, 2B Polanco, SS Sano, 3B Mauer, 1B Kepler, RF Castro, C Rosario, LF Buxton, CF Grossman, DH Last 3 are interchangeable. But, I'd like some some speed (Rosario/Buxton) and/or a guy who can get on base (Grossman) when the lineup turns over to the team's best hitters. Not a huge fan of Buxton being a blackhole in the top third of the lineup until he figures some things out.
  10. Hipsters are usually on the other side of that political conversation. I'll sit just sit back now and wait for a fan of the band to take that literally and lose their mind.
  11. Great write up on Chicago. Never thought of it that way (maybe because I love a good Chicago dog). But, hot dog snobbery is absurd and hilarious.
  12. The Royals lineup isn't going to be compared to the Murderers' Row anytime soon, but getting good efficient innings deep into the game, followed by good innings out of the 'Pen was very refreshing. I feel like I haven't seen a "team" pitching performance like that for a decade (on the Twins side of the ledger).
  13. Just read a game recap that said "the win delighted an announced sellout crowd." What constitutes a "sellout" these days? Clearly not selling every available ticket, as per the actual meaning the language used. There couldn't have been more than 25k in there (capacity 39k+). I don't buy for a second that I would've been turned away at the gate at 3:15-3:30 pm.
  14. Dozier is on pace for 0 home runs over 162. Should've traded him while he had some value. In case anyone is wondering what could've been, De Leon is on an undefeated pace. Can't deny math.
  15. Do you think Dick and Bert will ever realize Wood is no longer pitching? Or, will they call every pitcher for the rest of the year "Wood."
  16. Which SPs can we target at the deadline for the World Series run?
  17. I hate the rule that you don't have to pitch an intentional walk anymore. When Vlad Guerrero passes, he'll roll in his grave.
  18. Not even close on replay. What an awful call.
  19. Tim Laudner....is there anyone better in the business? Shocked that MLB network, ESPN, or the Pentagon hasn't plucked him yet.
  20. I like Sano's new look. This team needs more dreadlocks.
  21. I find myself wondering how many 600 ft Park-Bangs we would've seen by now. I'm thinking 2-3 depending on the number of ABs.
  22. I'm really excited to watch Buxton this year. I expect a big step forward. Honestly, if not for my excitement surrounding Buxton's upside, and what he could possibly do this year, there isn't much else to care about. He's the only reason to invest any time watching this team.
  23. Exciting times. I wonder how they're coming along as far as electricity, indoor plumbing, and horseless carriages.
