  1. This is awesome. This day of minor league action sums up how our farm system has been this year. Wander Javier is the only somewhat big prospect that has missed a considerable amount of time. We've had too many years where at least one top prospect has had tommy john. I could see us possibly having up to 7 or 8 top 100 prospects next year the way things are going. And that's not even including guys like Thorpe or Baddoo who could be making strides at becoming one soon. This is fun guys
  2. Duda has hit 7 ground balls on the left side of second this year. it would be a waste of time putting someone over there.
  3. Love the time and effort put into this. No chance they all get traded but I'd love to see the Escobar, Dozier and Reed trades. The Pressly/sano ones seems pretty far fetched but the rest seem like realistic possibilities.
  4. In an Escobar trade I would want Luis Garcia or Kilome.. Dozier: I'd like Kody Medeiros, but if they could get ortiz I'd be alright with that. I think Boston has more to offer though. To me I'd like escobar for Luis Garcia + higher floor kinda guy the most
  5. I applaud you for looking into the DSL. When the Twins signed Amaurys Minier I started following. Maybe I'm the jinx for the recent bad stretch of DSL talent lol
  6. ^^^ Big Jose Miranda fan here as well my friend. Since May 18th, in 55 games he's hitting .322/.364/.518 (.882 OPS). with an 11.3% K rate. He reminds me of how Jorge Polanco flew under the radar on Sano/Buxton/Kepler/Rosario stacked teams. I'd put him right up with Akil Baddoo in prospect rankings.
  7. after last offseason, and dozier on an off year, no chance he turns down a 1 year 18 mil deal.
  8. really don't think the Brewers would trade Major league pitching when they are in the process of "buying".
  9. Not sure where andrew Vasquez is. That man will definitely be in the big league pen for years to come. Not sure I would bet on Felix Jorge anywhere. looks nice though. Thanks for putting this together, Nick.
  10. Gordon's start has me feeling the same as last season. looks like a top 10 prospect in baseball again. Hope this time he doesn't fade away. Nice to see all the top prospects are doing alright, would like to see a couple break out though. Praying Rooker and Baddoo get back into last years funk. Zander Wiel might be interesting to watch.
  11. Arrieta, Wacha, Tanaka... none of them average 6 innings. Arrieta only 5.5. I'd consider all of those guy's 2's or 3's. League average for S/M % was 9.8% so he was above average. WHIP was high, yes but he had a below average HR/9 of 1.19 which means a slightly higher whip than average will play.... Also it was his rookie season, not many players come out and dominate rookie year. And to remind you I'm not saying he's a number 3 RIGHT NOW. Saying he could be with development.
  12. Disagree. 4.50 ERA in his rookie campaign with Swing and miss material. 10.5% S/M rate. that was higher than Berrios' 9.4%. Think he has a good chance to be a typical number 3 in the rotation in the future years..
  13. I think trading Sano would be a mistake right now. He's a much better player than Kyle. Kyle had no position, at least Sano is a capable 3B with 3 years of a good bat. Think his peak is still a year or 2 away.
  14. I like this list. I hope Diaz and Silva do come along. not a lot of confidence in Diaz being here over Kepler, though.
  15. 2021 Line up for me looks more like: C: Mitch Garver 1B: Brent Rooker 2B: Jorge Polanco 3B: Wander Javier SS: Royce Lewis LF: Eddie Rosario CF: Byron Buxton RF: Max Kepler DH: Miguel Sano Bench: OF: Lamonte Wade IF: Nick Gordon C: Rainis Silva IF: Luis Arraez AAA ready prospects: Blankenhorn, Baddoo, Kirilloff, Jose Miranda, Lewin Diaz I'd say theres a solid chance one or more of Polanco/Rosario/Kepler could be moved by then.
  16. I agree with a couple of other posters on here that 4.5 million would not be enough. I feel like 2/12 would be more fair, and I would still do that as the Twins. If they don't extend Dozier and they trade Gordon for pitching, we will need a 2B for 2019 and possibly 2020. That would fit Escobar really well.
  17. Our Wade Davis money is going to Yu Darvish. Rodney has been good, he'd be a great addition to this bullpen.
  18. Who said Kirriloff is too high?? just bc he had TJ surgery? was Appy league player of the year.. Hope you're right with Silva.
  19. I sort of agree on some of the things Twinstalker said. So Pearson was a 3rd round pick, 85th overall.. He did terrible his first chance on pro fields... You can say he's ranked that high because of where he was drafted and how young he is, but that's never the case... Mirando was a higher draft pick, and broke out this year. there's no reason Pearson should be ahead of miranda because Pearson is 3 days younger. Or ahead of MiLBY pitcher of the year..
  20. No on the Mauer extension. I'm not to worried about Kohl. He lost his control last year and that could scare teams away, does't have the K numbers to handle big league pitching right now. If he gets selected I wouldn't be surprised to see him sent back by the end of march. More worried about Lewin Diaz and Nick Burdi in the Rule V.
  21. I like the Pearson pick up but people are definitely over reacting. No way Pearson is in the Twins top 15 prospects. Love that they did something, though. Interested to watch Pearson play next summer.
  22. I like Thorpe and Wade a lot. Nice to see them pretty high up, think Thorpe will climb lists this year. Cool to see Akil Baddoo cracked top 10. One of my favorite prospects in the system
  23. gotta add slegers, easily would be taken and has been good in AAA. worth giving 6-8 starts before the end of the season then decide maybe if he should stay on it
