  1. Heres the funny thing.. slightly better.. Polanco made it to the MLB at 21, Dozier wasn't even drafted until he was just over 22 years old. when Dozier had his "Breakout season" he was 24 years old in AA.. Polanco just turned 23 this month and is already a AAA veteran with great stats. So I say Polanco's minor league career > Doziers
  2. Well Seth, Zack Granite or Danny Santana? Defense: Granite.. Speed: Granite Hitting: 50/50 maybe? I dont see why not to try Granite as a backup to Buxton instead of Santana.
  3. you make it sound easy. He had plenty of opportunities he just missed the ball, now hes not missing. as a former pitcher myself i can tell you its EASY to miss middle when trying to shoot down and away. and you can still pull a middle away pitch out you dont need the hit it the other way as much as you should..
  4. when you're a senior you dont have too many options...
  5. I see some are not fans of the Miranda pick but I like it. Good bat plus we shouldn't need him at short, We'll need him at 2nd most likely anyway.. Hoping Nick Gordon can be a major league shortstop and if he can't Wander Javier will be.. Rodvert and Abdoo look like above average picks. Kirilloff could be pretty solid too.
  6. do you realize how much more and better competition there is now a days? there are 8 different minor league levels. when Harmon played how many were there? 1, 2?
  7. Wow what a day, you learn to appreciate these days much more with an 18-40 team. I've know about Fernando Romero since he and Rosario landed TJ about the same time and I didn't think too much of them.. wow I was dumb.. from what I've heard Romero has ACE stuff and is lighting it up! 97-99 MPH consistently with 91-92 MPH slider, just filthy! I was just starting to think a few weeks ago Jay was drafted to be a reliever in MLB, now he's on a streak with only 3 ER in his last 6 starts. thats awesome. Drink up we may not see the clean sweep again for awhile!
  8. I love how everyone gets worked up about the K's.. Sano may be K'ing at a league high clip, but he has a .736 OPS even after a long slump. So he's an above League average hitter at what I think is the trough of his slump. 1 word for people worried about Sano. "R-E-L-A-X" so for Walker coming up, I agree 44% is too much, get it down to 36-38 I consider it because of all that power. Arica was K'ing at a 45% rate when he was hitting well earlier this year, lately he's dropped it down to 36% and has struggled hitting recently. No contact > soft contact. Just gotta ease them into it and hope they can learn to adjust and be more selective at the plate.
  9. LaMonte Wade will be an MLB star. you heard it hear first
  10. Gonsalves actually raised his ERA from 1.44 to 1.45 actually, like it matters though.. Love seeing him dominate
  11. Kepler has had too few AB's for you to judge a .185 avg... might be .285 next sunday with how few AB's he's had
  12. Yawn, Twins suck.. FM rotation, nick gordon, Daniel Palka and LaMonte Wade every night only ones doing anything so far! need some guys like Palacios, Vavra, Murphy, Paul, Murray to start stepping up! along with the entire Twins team except Mauer and Park.
  13. I can't wait until these guys are pitching in the MLB. The Twins could finally be good again.. Berries' first start had its ups and downs but when he was throwing strikes he got quite a few Swings and misses, just needs to get those nerves out! 21 years old, youngest starting pitcher in the MLB, well that happens. The Strikeouts tonight convinced me he'll be fine, can't wait until his next start. Flashbacks to the last 3 prospects who made a start: Gibson 8 in 5 vs Yankees, May walked like 6 guys in 2 innings and Duffey 7 runs in 2? I think they have turned just fine so far. 5 runs in 4 innings is fine for a debut. Kohl Stewart could be trade bait with this improvement and I dont think i like that. I was one that wanted to trade him last year but with K's up i think they'd be stupid to trade him when we have every position covered in young depth
  14. yea you could talk about them.. you could also talk about Buxton and Hicks being rushed skipping AAA. Also Quintana was 2 years older than gonsalves at this time, if he gets to AA here soon like we expect... Sale came up as a reliever out of college and Rodon College arm as well. It'd be like bringing Jay up right away, not Gonsalves
  15. In his last 76 games last year he had an average of .318 and a .725 OPS... he's been turning it around for close to a year. I think this his hitting is coming around.
  16. Yeah i could easily see a portion by end of 2017. Im just saying don't rush him through AA or skip AAA because you need a LHP
  17. I think Gonsalves is going to be a very big prospect for the Twins over the next couple of years. I'm not sure I would rush him as he's putting up numbers a future ace would.. not saying he'll be an Ace but I'm guessing going into next year he will be in MLB.com 's top 50 if not top 30... Gonsalves joining Berrios and Meyer could be a nasty 1-2-3 for many years
  18. agreed. Meyer and Berrios both should be in this rotation for now and i'd vote Duffey over Milone as well
  19. maybe because he was a first round pick and his blood runs in the MLB? lol
  20. I'd say Palka and harrison are on fire the last couple of games. Harrison has got on in 8 of 11 PA's with 5XBH to increase his OPS from .540 to .786 Palka has reached in all 10 PA's hes had with 4XBH in the last 2 games so his OPS has went from .647 to to .871.. I'd say these 2 really did some stat padding the last 2 days. Plus Arcia hit a walk off homer. life's good
  21. Vielma was 1-4 btw, not 0-4. Disappointing no prospects to watch tomorrow besides Gordon and Wade. Gordon finally got quiet. hopefully he ends this mini slump fast not a month long one like last year
