  1. the Twins could get Clayton Kershaw for Berrios and Twins fans would still think its a bad move, thats just how MN fans are. We love being negative
  2. i think Murphy will be the starter. He wasn't starting on his own team because the Yankees have a guy named Brian McCan who is one of the best catchers in the AL. He had a good bat in the 172 ABs he had last year. Hicks was sent to AAA after he forgot how many outs there were in a ST game with Molitor and was benched. All your other points are fantastic and I really enjoyed reading this.
  3. i can't believe people actually think Aaron Hicks had more trade value that Eddie Rosario
  4. i like this trade actually. not a lot but i like it. Hicks had 1 good month and i really don't think he's going to be better than Rosario, Sano, Buxton and Kepler who are all OFers of the future. not a big fan of Sano being there but has to be said. Also with Walker and Palka they may have a power hitting corner OF coming up in the near future
  5. Trevor Plouffe the past 2 seasons is pretty comparable to Hanley Ramirez and Pablo Sandoval who signed for 22AAV and 19AAV.. No player has ever accepted a QO. And Plouffe would not either, a player at 31 would Much rather have a 3/39 or 4/52 over a 1/16.. Give him a QO if his numbers stay where they're at or better,
  6. fella named david Wright maybe for the Mets
  7. The Twins are gonna have major problems this offseason... position players that are for sure gonna be on 25: Mauer, Dozier, Escobar, Sano, Park, Suzuki, Rosario, Hicks, Plouffe... Bench Back up catcher then 3 question marks.. Will need 1IF 1OF and 1 bench bat Choosing 3 of these names: Santana, Nunez, Arcia, Vargas, Pinto.. I'd probably Take Nunez, Arcia and Vargas to start the year but maybe would go Santana over Vargas to be IF/OF help with speed.... This Spring training is gonna be HUGE for Those 5.
  8. Not a chance I keep Vargas a 1B/DH over Arcia OF/DH. Arcia is a year younger and has already had a 20 homer season.
  9. the only one i really like out of here is the most unlikely one.. 3 of those 4 white sox prospects look promising. I'd maybe do the Braves trade for the RP if they through in a lower level prospect as well
  10. Mitch Garver has a 7 game hit streak and has 5 walks in 9 PA's the last 2 games, thats pretty impressive. this kids plate discipline will not go unseen by the Twins. 2017 opening day starter if they don't trade for a highly rated one
  11. as much as i love Polanco and Sano starting we can't trade both, to me its 1 or the other so we can still have a dependable bat/defense in the line up
  12. go find a SS who hits .300 every year in other teams top 10 and tell me how many you find.. also, go find a hitter that has led their league in homeruns every season he has played, also go find a reliever after 15 that has a 100MPH fastball and a 92 MPH slider who has struck out 11.7/9.... Gonsalves i agree though very legit.
  13. I feel like the Twins will want to get Polanco's bat in the MLB somehow and if Sano is struggling Defensively i give Polanco a shot at 3rd... to me SS is the toughest position on the diamond, have to have the most range and some of the longest throws, so i feel like 3rd would be a good solution if were stuck with Dozier at 2nd
  14. I wouldn't have put 6-10 any different...id say that Stewart is in a huge year this coming year. if his ERA continues to be low in AA even with the K% stays low i'd move him up. getting hitters out is the biggest thing for a SP... also i feel like Polanco should get a shot in MLB at 3B if the Twins end up trading Plouffe
  15. Ortiz is so underrated but i definitely don't see them giving him a chance over Kepler, Buxton and Walker.
  16. they traded a player that made no difference in the future because they were not going to be good within his contracted years. might as well trade him for someone that can help during theirs. just don't know how much
  17. disagree with the span comment above^^^^ you have to be willing to lose 3 games per year when you're bad in order to win 2 games per year when were good. sure span may have got us 9 wins total and Meyer 5.. but its about when the wins come.. gotta be willing to lose to win
  18. wow we were mad because we didn't think you'd throw javier in.. apologies.. I've heard Vielma has the best glove seen in minors since Simmons so I'm totally good with this ranking, especially his finish. probably woulda had Thorpe up, he's 19 still and already played full season ball. i have him ahead of Stewart for sure. can't wait to see Javier rise as the years go. Thorpe as well
  19. i knew Nicky G had a good second half but didn't realize he had .763 OPS over that time.. thats why his upside has him at his rankings. also happy 20th Bday Nick
  20. Buxton, Berrios, Kepler, jay, Gordon, polanco, gonsalves, walker, Thorpe, Stewart, Meyer, Burdi, chargois, Jorge, Rogers, Blankenhorn, Palacios,Garver,Wade, Javier, Romero, Turner, Harrison, Vielma, minier, Sledgers, Michael, English, Melotakis, Reed, Gibbons, eades, jones,Peterson, Wells, Arias, Diaz, navarreto, batts, goodrum.... That's my top 40
  21. seth if we didn't have different opinions it'd be boring and none of us would learn anything interesting! you've done a great job doing your countdown
  22. haha don't get too excited here pal I agree Wander Javier getting the big 5M should definitely make top 30... its about potential right? the 16 year old looks like he could be a beast... and Arias has the speed, power and low K% that a lot of big prospects can't put together.. it'd be cool if he continues.. hope he does it in the GCL this year
  23. also to take the pressure off the catcher rankings Situation... how close was Jean Carlos Arias to making the top 50? i believe we signed him last summer and he played way above expectations in DSL... 17 years old and hitting well is what i love to see
